Carlomagne's Random Photos from Trips etc...

Oh I didn't use the multi terrain select. Going down while 3 wheeling was a job for crawl control to do all the work haha. I just wanted to steer.

Going up hills, it's usually atrac or the rear locked if it gets technical.

MTS is crawl control, unless we're crossing our wires. I usually let MTS handle really steep hills especially when the terrain is muddy and rocky, which it usually is out here.

Damn you and dry weather, carlomagne

I thought MTS was the knob on the right in our overhead and required us to use the gas pedal? Crawl control is the one on the left and does the gas and brake without us having to do anything except steer.

Eh, I figured MTS and crawl were different.

MTS is the rock, sand, etc. where you have to apply your own power.

Same thing for the most part. MTS and the speed are part of the same system, however descent doesn't require the application of power, whereas hill climbing does require that, which is why you have to put it into 4LO and then Neutral for the computer to handle the power.

I'll see how MTS differs from crawl control going downhill on the next trip we do.

I call them the cheater knobs haha.

I call them the cheater knows haha.

Aint no award for damaging your vehicle on the way up or down, if MTS/Crawl lets me do it safely then by all means aint cheating.

True. It helped me concentrate more on placing my tires in the correct places with it on.

I'd still rather not depend on it if I don't have to. I just need more seat time.

A few pictures from this past weekend at Sequoia National Park.

This is 100% correct. MTS is like having different levels of ATRAC intrusiveness. Crawl Control is Cruise Control for 4-Lo...1-5 kph, you can overide it by pressing brake or throttle, just like cruise control.

Awesome pictures btw, that trail looks like a lot of fun.

Yea, I figured. I find myself not using MTS and instead using ATRAC and the rear locker. When I don't trust my driving skills, I use crawl control haha.

Thanks! Cleghorn was pretty fun. Finally washed the car and the pinstripes weren't as deep as I thought.

Identical marks on both sides and more on the front fenders. It should buff out with a good detail.
