Gotta make sure your antannae is grounded first, I couldnt hear anything until it was grounded.
Then you need to buy yourself a SWR meter if your cb doesnt have one built in. Then read these two awesome articles on why tuning is important, and how to do it

Exactly. You need bare metal contact at the stud and mount, and the mount/body screws. Even better, run a wire from the bottom of the stud and pull the panel inside the rear and mount it with the tail light screw.

Just a photo for some of the people who wanted help running their coaxial cable. The vent that was mentioned earlier is pictured here, which normally hides behind the drivers side bumper end.

I know we keep bugging you drifter but do you have any more/ plans to make any? i would rather go this route with my cb antenna but if you aren't going to make any more im going to mount it to my cargo basket.
