CB external speaker

Going to install a cobra 75 soon and would like to add a external speaker. I saw that somebody is doing via the aux port but I would like a dedicated speaker. I would also like to have the speaker neatly hidden.

Any thoughts?

Btw, 2011 Limited with nav. Best option would be a unused speaker cut out but I think that would be wishful thinking.

The 75 has a dedicated speaker out on the remote box. It's a simple 3.5 stereo jack but once it's in, that is the only output that works. If you are fine with that, you have space under the dash for any size speaker but I don't think there are any unused cut outs. You also have some room in the kick panels on either side of the central control panel.

When I had my Titan, I mounted my external speaker under the drivers seat with some zip ties, and it worked great. Nothing permanent- easy to get to, and you could hear it fine.

You might also want to mod that receiver box so the handset speaker stays on with the external speaker plugged in. Sometimes it's useful to have both working. No need to run the wires inside the box to a switch, just connect the blue and yellow wires together and the handset speaker will work all the time. Cobra 75 mod Have fun!
