*My Amp Illuminated at night & TRD visor decals

I really like the way my Massive AMP looks at night when lit up. I can only enjoy this when i have my back seats folded down. When the seats are up, the back cargo area is still illuminated, pretty nice accent lighting.

Also included a pic of my visor decals just for kicks..... :peace:

Not sure why nobody has commented on this but the compass near the gauge cluster = badass. I want one now! Did you mount it with a high strength Velcro or something else? Good stuff overall man!

Thanks TCMach!

It's a clip on Compass I got on Amazon for only $5.00 w/shipping! It's actually designed to clip on a watch, but fits perfectly on the inner lip of the gauge cluster. Clip on n' off.

Nothing like knowing your what direction your going when deep in an uncharted area. not fun being lost in the woods!! GPS/compass on my "smart-phone" was worthless when you don't have a signal...

Just happened to stumble upon this...

A little update....

Going through CL and found a 1st Gen 4R Roll bar for sale, the guy was asking $25. So I jumped on it and picked it up. Funny thing is when I realized where the pick-up address was, it was my friend Matt's shop (Recycled Toyota's of Fresno) Ha! I've sold & bought plenty of things on CL but never from someone I knew!

It will probably be awhile before I can get it installed, but I'm glad I have it. Matt will probably be the guy who installs it for me. :p

*need to clean it up & hit it up with some paint.

Just for the Hell of it......

Live Action!! :usa2:

*Next Mod Sidenote: Since I've started Wheeling a bit more, I have noticed that my Lower Valance on my stock front bumper is just in the way, sooo it's gotta go! I think it's gonna happen soon. Would love to gain some clearance up front. Just need to figure out where i'm going to mount my Fog lights & License plate.

This is the most effective thing i can do untill i can afford the Savage Package! :phone: Just paid off all of my credit cards, so tempted to just call and order away!

*Probably going to paint the front & back bumpers soon. I'm going to use Plastidip since I already have a few cans. If i like the way it comes out, I'll eventually use some bed liner to seal the deal.

Hey man I just stumbled onto your build thread and I just want to say that you have a sick rig:thumb:. Very jealous. I can't wait to see what the bumper looks like! I just bought mine and was thinking about plastidipping all the lower trim on it, I love how it looks on yours.

Finished my project -NO MORE CHROME BUMPERS!

Hey man I just stumbled onto your build thread and I just want to say that you have a sick rig:thumb:. Very jealous. I can't wait to see what the bumper looks like! I just bought mine and was thinking about plastidipping all the lower trim on it, I love how it looks on yours.

*Thanks for the compliment pedmonds0219 ! I'll post better pics of the rear bumper soon...

STOCK FRONT BUMPER MOD

#1- DISCONNECTED BLINKERS & CORNER LIGHTS, UNBOLTED FRONT BUMPER
#2- UNBOLTED LOWER VALANCE FROM BUMPER,
#3- CLEANED & PREPPED FRONT & REAR BUMPERS TO BE PAINTED
#4- PAINTED 4 HEAVY COATS WITH PLASTI-DIP F&R BUMPERS
#5- REMOVED & TRIMMED LIMITED FENDER FLARE PIECES ON FRONT BUMPER
#6- DID 3 COATS OF "LENS TINT" ON CORNER LIGHTS AND BLINKER LENS'
#7- PAINTED STEEL MESH BLACK WITH 4 COATS OF RUSTOLEUM MATTE BLK
#8- PLASTI-DIPPED REAR LICENSE PANEL & DID A FRESH COAT ON GRILLE
#9- LET EVERYTHING DRY FOR A GOOD DAY
#10-PAINTED THE SKID PLATE BLK TOO, (RUST WAS STARTING TO SHOW)
#11- DECIDED TO SPRAY RUSTOLEUM OVER THE FRONT BUMPER TO HELP PROTECT THE PLASTIDIP AND TO GIVE IT SOME GLOSS. YOU CAN PAINT OVER PLASTIDIP, OR EVEN USE CLEARCOAT TO HELP EXTENT THE LIFE OF THE DIP. ESPECIALLY SINCE THIS STUFF STAINS RATHER EASILY.
#12-WAITED ANOTHER DAY FOR EVERYTHING TO DRY
#13- BOLTED FRONT BUMPER BACK (ONLY 4 BOLTS)
#14-REINSTALLED MY NEWLY TINTED CORNERS/BLINKERS
#15-ZIP-TIED STEEL MESH & LICENSE PLATE ON (SOLID)

*Materials used:
-Steel mesh (aka gutter guards) from Home Depot $3
-Tin Snips (to cut steel mesh) $12
-2 cans of Rustoleum Matte finish (custom shop paint) $6 each
-2 cans of Black Plasti-Dip $6 each
-1 can of Rustoleum "Lens Tint" (custom shop paint) $12
-Black Zip-ties $3

First my goal was to gain a better approach angle with my stock bumper by removing the lower valance, and 2nd to black everything out "RIP Chrome".. It came out clean IMO. This was a fun project, that was easy to do.

The steel mesh looks good and protects too,
I really like the way the Tinted corners/blinkers came out also!

*Here some pics from my mini DIY project:

Hey Cencal, how high is the lift on your rig? I bought mine with a 3" lift and it doesn't look like it sits as high as yours. Maybe its the bald rubber that is on it right now. Hopefully the new duratracs I put on it this weekend will fix that...

What's up pedmonds0219 I've got a 3" lift too, well 3" in front & 3.5" in rear, You will definitely get some lift out of some new Tires especially if yours are bald, I seen a nice difference when i got the 285's/Duratracs, awesome tire BTW.

-In my opinion, these trucks should have come factory like this! I sometimes don't even feel like my Rig is lifted, well maybe when I'm next to a stock 4Runner haha. I still want a Body Lift, sooner than later!!

*A lot of it is the angle that i take my pictures make me appear to be higher than reality.... "perception is reality though" right? :brushteeth:
