cencalifoothill15's simple build thread

tx4r3g what's up Bill... your compliments are always appreciated!

The G2's are holding up nicely; looking sexy with my black wheels! No wobbles or vibration, even after all my wheeling trips... :boink:

*Glad to hear you got the "WHITE SHADOW" lifted man! I fell in Love with my Rig all over again when I got mine higher off the ground. Looking forward to seeing some pics!

Thanks

Red mtn. Ohv

-Had a good time wheeling this past Saturday, 8 Rigs all together. Finally got to Wheel with loko ino ! :yo:

We went up to Red Mtn. OHV there are 5 different trails to take: (Red Lake, Coyote Lake, Strawberry Lake, Mirror Lake, & West Lake) 1st stop was West Lake, then to Strawberry Pass) These are some awesome trails, definetly would recommend. 2nd stop was through Strawberry Pass, which was much more technical, many more tight spots on this trail, I even questioned many areas that were sketchy, but to my surprise the Runner made it through. Mirror Lake was the last trail, however only the SAS guys did this one, (very difficult pass) I Need some skids & sliders!! :dammit: No IFS rigs did Mirror pass...

Our Trucks are much more capable than I originally thought, I honestly thought I was going to break something vital! *on a side note- There was a lot of trail damage that took place, but nothing major, I suffered from some wheel rash, scraped my front arms, dented skids, dented rear bumper & some custome pin-stripes. I was inches away from tearing shit up... There was quite a bit of damage reported from the others, mainly from going through Mirror Pass, BIG ASS BOULDERS! :jaw drop:

*Here's a trail guide, and many pictures to enjoy, I'll adding Tons of Pics to my Albums soon... we had a blast out there!

Red Lake, & Coyote are Next on my list... I hear these are pretty gnarly trails too, can't do it all in 1 day... :hungry:

Good times!! Great to meet you bro..and the Runner looked awesome.

Red is more challenging..and a great run. That is where I got all the dents underneath my Runner from lol.

Coyota..now that is a scary looking trail...have fun.

Dude you're gonna have to take me up there and show me the ropes on the trial. Those look exciting! How far are the trail heads from around shaver?

Thanks Bro! Same here! I'm sure it won't be our last run... I'd love to try RED sometime soon. HA! I need a rear bumper and sliders like you first though, C-Ya at the next meet. Thanks to the guys @NOLB (no one left behind) 4x4 club for making the trip so fun! :whoo:

Hell yeah Man! Sounds like a plan!! You would love it for sure...

*It's only 20-30 mins past Tamarack! Wish you could have made it Bro, but I totally know how it is being married w/kids!! We definetly need to hit these trails soon! Looking forward to the next run!

Really good looking 4runner. I just picked up a 97 sr5 and plan going a similar route as you did.

Do you have any pictures of your old 240sx? Reason I ask is because I also own a 95.

Also live in the Fresno area haha

Keep up the good work Sub'd.

What's up Chewbacca ! :welcome: to T4R.ORG! And congrats on picking up a 3rd Gen 4R! Thanks for the compliment! Good to hear from a local, look forward to seeing your 4Runner in action, lots to do in our Sierras!

I owned the 240 over 13 years ago; totaled it unfortunetly! I need to do some deep digging to find some photos... now I'm wondering where they're at.... ha!

Thanks man very welcoming crowd here.

How do 4runners do on Bald Mt. more specifically the "IFS" crowd? I don't have much experience in the 4wd department although I have been up there in my buddy's jeeps and they don't seem to have a real issue at all.

Wow! That was way before 240s got popular. If you ever come across them I would be happy to see how the "scene" was way back.

Ifs on bald mtn.

Hey Man you would be surprised what IFS can do! you can do some trails with stock suspension no problem! Most guys on here are IFS, but I dream of a SAS! You need to think about ditching your running boards if you haven't already, that would help out a lot, especially if you're thinking about going to Bald Mountain. I believe Slow_T4R went up to Bald with a stock set-up and made it , the easiest way is through Tamarack. The most difficult route is through Rock Creek road on the way to Dinky. Bald is awesome either way!

*the scene was actually pretty cool back then with all the imports, ha almost like the Fast & Furious movies... (lots of Girls & betting) -lots of buddies running NOS, SC'd or boosted. Lots of illegal stuff going on out there. Lots of dumb people too. We used to race around North & Maple and around Cherry. I've had my share of tickets messing around on Blackstone. I know young and dumb! I've learned many lessons, haven't had any tickets in 10+ years!

*I'll post some pics of my 240sx when I find the pics! Miss that car way nicer than my 2 Integras!

EDIT- Chewbacca Just found a pic from the night I totaled my 240... :tsk:

This is true. I did it bone stock. I drove up the back way (Tamarac) and then came down the upper loop.

And I don't want to derail your tread but I'm gonna need pics of those integra's lol. I used to be huuuge into imports owned 4 different integra's a couple civics a crx a hatch or two! The kids nowadays have it so easy with all these badass K20 swaps!

Sorry :focus:

Previous vehicle pics*

You guys asked for it!! So here it is..... Check it out :naughty:

Hey Chewbacca i could only find 1 photo of my 240sx, really wish I had a better shot of it, sorry bad image quality... it was a sweet ride! (Ingen Intake, HKS exhaust, performance throttle body) (totaled)

Slow_T4R I've got some better pics for you Bro! My 1st Integra was a Black 96 (GSR heads, CAI & Exhaust)' (sold) *You can see my old 79' Camaro in the background. (sold that to my lil bro)

*2nd Integra was the green 98'. I later got a body kit (all Polyurethane) and painted it with House of Color's "Tangelo Pearl" That car is the most I've ever put into a single vechicle. (DC headers, Type R manifold, AEM CAI Greddy exhaust etc.) (sold)

Then onto the 02 Lincoln LS, (Family Car) got this to accomodate my Family. Then the Mod bug bit me again... Got a custom grille, K&N, Lowered it 2" with some INTRAX sport coils, new monroe shocks & struts and then I threw some 20's on it. I had to cut out the inner fender walls to eliminate the F'd up rubbing... This car was a pain to fix!! Then i got tired of it and sold it... And the rest is history...

I just wish I could go back in time to 1998 and buy my 4R brand new!! ha!
