Thank you for the detailed post, my scratches are annoying as well.
Does the finish come out smooth or do you need to do a finishing sand?
Hi PJ,
No... no polishing or buffing, just sand it first to prep the plastic to give the fresh enamel a surface to bond with, the more 'Ultra thin coats' that you apply, the more durable it will be... you can even use a clear coat for a more superior 'Dupli-color' finish and that's it! If you're really competent with enamel/lacquer finishing, you can harden it making it (semi) scratch proof :artist:; I personally am not lol! :nono: ...just lucky to get it back on top of the center console in one piece! Now I know that I'll be refinishing that center piece every two years; if I'm lucky, Best to you all,
