Not trying to threadjack! Does anybody in the Charlottesville area have experience with CBs? I have mine all setup but I don't think it's getting reception as well as it should. Would be nice to be sure this is all good to go for the 24th.

I don't but Chuch may be able to explain some stuff to you.

Couple weeks out everyone! Lets get a roll call so I we can go best about deciding if we are running both weekends for sure!

Tag me in a post so I know which day you are planning on going

Thread got quiet lately, maybe its too early or maybe we are gonna have about 4 guys. LOL I'm still in on the 24th GHARP57, hopefully with a fresh set of shoes on my ride. Hell yea!

GHARP57 I'll be there and my brother is tagging along (in my ride). Anybody have any issues with my dog coming as well? Just to verify, we're meeting the morning of 10/27 and doing Flagpole and planning to camp out that evening?

we had dogs come along last time

GHARP57 I'm in I am actually coming up Friday night. Not sure where I'm camping Friday night or where I am meeting up yet.

Just a little update, on the weekend of the 17th there is a big XTerra group wheeling / camping all over Flagpole and the surrounding areas. They have invited some of the 4Runner guys, but considering the amount of trucks I have heard come to this event is probably going to be pretty crowded.

I may wheel with them on the 17th, but I'll definitely change my plans to the 4Runner specific trip on 10/24. I'm actually moving out of town and back to Southern VA that weekend, so what better sendoff than to camp/wheel prior to my departure. Depending on the forecast, I'll probably try to camp the Friday night before as I've seen some others on this thread mention the same thing. Depending on the starting point the next morning, probably either down by Switzer Lake or up off of Flagpole, then meet up with ya'lls group the next morning as you come through.

GHARP57 I will be there on the 24th for sure.. Might shoot out on the 17th for shits and giggles..

I'll be out there tomorrow afternoon too.

For final meet up on the 24th I vote for the Shell station again. Last time we said 11 am which would have been about right but the delay in getting out of there cost those of us camping some precious time. I am cool with 11, but I say that means an 11 am expected roll out from the shell station. Get there, get gas...let's roll.

In other news, I should be getting my fresh shoes installed on the runner this coming Friday thanks to GHARP57. I freakin can't wait to put them to good use. Prepping my trimming tools for up front rubbing. HA! Going with the new cooper STT Pro in a wide 305/70/16. BOOOM.

AND.....if anyone wants a good deal on these 285 KO's, they have about 5K miles on them, all road except the one trip to flagpole.

GHARP57 Put me down for the 24th. This will be my first time off roading, so I'm excited to see how this goes.

Taylor you will be fine. Long as you dont act completley crazy (I am sure some of the guys thought I was nuts playing in the mud they way i did) you will be okay. Your 4Runner will be more than capable. I have a stock 3rd Gen and I went on LTX M/S2's the highway version of your tire and I was fine!
