Changing climate control lights

So I've been looking all over the Internet to find out how to replace the burnt out bulbs behind the climate control area on my '97 SR5. I've gotten the bezel out, but not sure where to take it from here. The picture shows where I'm at now.
Sorry the picture is sideways, my phone puts it in like that automatically.

You took a 5 min job and made it a 2 hour job lol
The clear thing there in your climate control comes out, pull of on the passenger side there is a single bulb behind it there ya go.
All you had to do was pull all the knobs and the face off to get to this point not the whole dash

I also need to replace the bulb behind the climate control of my '96 SR5...

any chance you could add a photo of exactly which "clear thing" I need to pull off from the passenger side?

further, do you happen to know which bulb I need use as a replacement (i.e. factory part number?)?

Here's the two locations of the bulbs and they are #74 bulbs, I replaced mine with LEDs so that's why they might look a little different than yours; yours will be covered in green silicone condom looking thing as well haha.

thanks for posting that pic... but could you please post exactly what I need to remove in order to get in there in the first place?

Pull all the knobs/slider things off and once you have all those off, just grab the face plate and pull it off. Simple as that.

my '96 is slightly different in that it has the sliding climate control levers rather than the rotating dials, and so I only have the single bulb in the center (like the '97)... so THIS THREAD was actually spot on for what mine looks like and how I need to replace that bulb once the parts store opens in the morning

hmm always thought the 96-98 were the same in every way besides the 98 steering wheel, learn something new everyday on t4r.

Where did you buy the LED and the cost? is it the same #74?

Thanks

Quick question for 97 (slider style) controls.

I swapped the one led covered by the clear plate and it's 100% better. BUT, is there another bulb I overlooked for the A/C button? Any idea what size it is or if it's even replaceable?
