I honestly don't think the BRAND of lubrication is important, what's KEY is that one CHANGES them. There are people who NEVER change the front/rear diffs and TC let alone the tranny fluid and expect their ride to last over 200K miles.![]()
It's great to see threads like this to help those of us who are active in maintaining their runner. :thumb3:
That's exactly what I recall... Just under 7 US quarts.Doing front, back and transfer case took almost 7 bottles for me.
Keep in mind that the Fill and Drain plug crush gaskets are Toyota specified as a "Non-reusable part".
why?
I'd say if you have one use it. I didn't use one until I changed my plugs - there was no way I was going to just guess with those. Now that I have one I use it for things like this but I didn't bother when doing my suspension bushings for instance.Ok so i hate to sound stupid but is there really need to use a torque wrench? I have always tightened bolts with a wrench for everything and have never had a problem.
I just did My transfer case and rear fluid differentials. Unfortunately I stripped the Hex nut on the front differential, wish they would have used bolts, I had hex nuts ugh.
Anyone know what the part number is for the front differential Hex nuts?
