I use Mobile1 everywhere (except tranny). More expensive, yes. I've been using Mobile1 for YEARS and never experienced any kind of lubrication failure in any of my 10 cars/trucks/SUVs I've had since mid 1990s.
I honestly don't think the BRAND of lubrication is important, what's KEY is that one CHANGES them. There are people who NEVER change the front/rear diffs and TC let alone the tranny fluid and expect their ride to last over 200K miles.
It's great to see threads like this to help those of us who are active in maintaining their runner. :thumb3:

They don't match cause they are different parts.
the post by aika1 is for the gasket itself. The list I posted was for the PLUGS. I did not post the gasket numbers (except the oil pan )since they were already posted. I added the numbers for the Plugs incase somebody needed to replace a rounded /stripped plug.

Ok, i just got back from the toyota dealer and bought 2 crush washers for a whoppin 3 bucks. i was shocked that it didn't cost an arm and a spare tire. Next went over to, ugh, pep boys, and bought me 4 bottels of Mobil 1 75-90.
Not sure if I will use all of it or not. According to the spec sheet I am looking at right now it says 3.17-3.27 US quarts or 3.00-3.10 litters. I am going to say safe on this one with having 4. At least I will have some extra sitting around.
Now I just need to get a dang socket that will fit. My set stops at 7/8" and 22mm!!!
Guess this means another trip to Harbor Freight.

Did this today and it went very smoothly thanks to this great writeup! Bought a torque wrench and everything so I'm good to go!
My front differential was the dirtiest, so I think the rear had been changed before, but the front never has. I'm at 77,000 miles and there was a considerable amount of metallic sludge on the magnetic drain plugs on both the front and rear differentials, can't wait to see how the new synthetic Mobil One feels!

Because they're designed to squish and compress to form a seal. It can only be squished once.
You can probably get away with reusing it. But I wouldn't chance an expensive diff over a $1 part.
I'd say if you have one use it. I didn't use one until I changed my plugs - there was no way I was going to just guess with those. Now that I have one I use it for things like this but I didn't bother when doing my suspension bushings for instance.

Maybe I missed it in this writeup but I couldn't find where each specific washer was actually used? It would be sweet if snowbizx could list the part numbers /washer description after each photo on his first post. That would be super helpful.
I finished the job anyway using the Toyota OEM washers and ended up with one washer at the end that didn't fit the rear diff fill port/nut. I had to reuse the old crush washer on the fill nut.
Note to the guy above asking about the torque wrench. I got one for around $50 specifically for this job. It was interesting to "feel" how little the torque was on some of the nuts when using the wrench. You would be surprised and if you are like me - probably over twisting by hand! It is one of those things that when you use it, and it "clicks" at the correct setting, you know you did the job right.
Edit: my bad here they are - just make sure when the parts guy collects them from the back parts bins at Toyota that they separate and identify them by part number.

I changed both differentials and transfer oil today. Went with Royal Purple 75-90 in all. Rear diff was little dirty, front- really dirty but transfer case was as clean as brand new oil. I noticed transfers old oil was thin almost like motor oil, so I'm glad I changed it to correct weight. I used all new washers except trans case where I just reused flat alluminum ones.
