Cool thanks. I'll bring it to AutoZone either tonight or tomorrow. I didn't realize they'll scan the codes for free. Do I receive a report with the results?

I've only been once to o'reillys to get the codes read before I bought one. The guy just showed me the code, and I wrote it down.

I might suggest picking one up in the future too. The CEL is kinda scary to see, so its great peace of mind to know what the code is and be able to google it right there. I have this one from Harbor Freight: ZR4 OBD2 Code Reader. This particular one has a snapshot of data for when the code occured, which can be useful for diagnostic. The super cheap ones will only show the code, so I like this. Live data can also be had for a bit high price tag as well.

I also have this bluetooth reader: Amazon.com: Bafx Products - Wireless Bluetooth OBD2 / OBDII Diagnostic Car Scanner & Reader Tool for Android Devices - Read/Clear Your Check Engine Light & Much More: Automotive that I use with the Torque Pro app for Android to read trans temps, clear codes, do other neat things. I tend to prefer the physical reader for clearing codes, but the bluetooth setup with the android app has much more functionality.

I know you said you "tightened" the gas cap...but the cap is also part of the system and the O-ring could be not sealing, try putting some Vaseline on the O-ring of the gas cap to help it seal better and see if that makes a different before you start looking for bad hoses and valves.
