I disassembled 2) 283s between today and yesterday, i bought them years ago for the velvet drive transmissions and am now getting rdy to scrap the block, the brass radiators, the copper tubing and aluminum intakes.....the only things i'm going to try to sell is 4) 283 power pack heads ( arrow stamped on end means smaller chamber=more power, so i'm told ) 2) rochester carbs 2bbl i believe...various brackets for alt., and other bolt on brackets.
If you know a chevy fan and/or you're in Virginia.....hit me up to make a deal. 1 motor had the chrome valve covers, both engines have the classic oil tube & pop-on lid. I also salvaged both the dipsticks w/ tubes.
I do have the reverse rotation starter, 2 ign. coils, 1 alt. (60s model )
Also have 2 Carter style carbs, 4bbl, looking for a home.
I can provide pics for any or all of items mentioned.
I'm not looking to make a killing, just make an offer on anything you may want. :wave:
