So a rebuild kit for the lower control arm on a 3rd gen (2-3 feet long things on the bottom of the axle) will fit the upper control arms (1-1.5 feet things on top of the axle)?

And a 2nd gen upper control arm will fit a 3rd gen? You're saying that maybe the 2nd gen rebuild kit will fit a 3rd gen if the bushings are burned out?

I believe so, but i have no proof. honestly I plannee on ordering the kit and then if it didnt fit I was going to fab new control arms with the correct brackets.

Random interior pictures

The vinyl is holding up well, but with the heat, it has flattened out and left open spots. I really wish I had cut it a little less. I really like it though! I might buy some brown duct tape to cover up the open spots.

The 2nd gen bushings will not work with the 3rd gen ones. I did a visual comparison and the 2nd gen bushings are waaaay bigger than ours. I also got the measurements from Energy Suspension and they line up with what I saw.

I need to do some more research about the universal bushings (ES and Prothane) and I will let y'all know!

Some things I have done in the past week are:

1. plastidip on the rest of the rear badges
2. paint hitch with satin black
3. "TOYOTA" mudflaps off of a 1993 2WD pickup
4. Trailer taillight converter thing that works- $3 :rockon:

I'll try and take some pictures sometime...

I think I can buy one set of these each and combine them to make a correct set. Hopefully, I'm not just dazed and confused!

I think i mentioned this before but the diameter of the actual rubber bushings is the same for the upper and lower control arms on the 3rd gen. however the upper has no sleeve over the bushings so the outside appears smaller. anyways when i get some extra cash im going to go ahead and order that set.
