Wow, it's been a while since I last posted. I've been super busy with the big trip out west and other things. I am finally posting the pictures from out 2018 Memorial Day Weekend trip. I'll eventually get to the trip pictures here pretty soon.
I saw this interesting VW beetle turned into a trike with a Kawasaki front end

I got to the trails in the late afternoon. My friend that met me drove from South Carolina and he arrived around 9PM, so I checked out the trails I wanted to hit while I waited

Finally got back out on the trail this past weekend

Unfortunately, I have a bad wheel bearing again- the front passenger I replaced about 8k miles ago before the trip out west. I didn't hit any mud or anything on that time and it is clean inside the ABS sensor hole. Must have just been a bad bearing. I am going to replace it over Thanksgiving break and I'm also going to put more grease in it than what the factory puts in. I think that's the reason why this one went bad so fast. Whenever I take apart a bad one, they seem so dry.

Then on the way out, I got bottomed out in these ruts in the bypass for the big mud hole. Sitting on my rear diff and front skid plate. Wound up jacking up the front and rear and sticking stick underneath, then winching it forward a couple feet with my hi-lift.

Went on 2 1 night trips up to Pickett in February:
1st one was with my girlfriend. We discovered a new campsite that has really awesome bluffs all around it. The pics are below. We went back to the secret campsite and got stuck for about 3 hours trying to winch ourself out of the mud with the hi lift. I was sunk up to the top of the tire in the front driver and hi-centered on the rear diff in the back on a hump. We finally got out when a group of RZRs came by and 2 of them pulled me backwards. We wound up cutting a new trail through the woods to bypass the mud hole to get out the next day.

1st one was with my girlfriend. We discovered a new campsite that has really awesome bluffs all around it. The pics are below. We went back to the secret campsite and got stuck for about 3 hours trying to winch ourself out of the mud with the hi lift. I was sunk up to the top of the tire in the front driver and hi-centered on the rear diff in the back on a hump. We finally got out when a group of RZRs came by and 2 of them pulled me backwards. We wound up cutting a new trail through the woods to bypass the mud hole to get out the next day.

When you replaced your motor mounts and transmission mount, did it make a big difference with how it feels driving? Or any vibration increase/decrease?
I'm thinking about replacing my motor mounts this summer since I've seen several posts of them failing on people here lately.
My trans mount is pretty shot too... lol

I replaced the trans mount because it was completely shot. I used a Toyota mount and the rubber wasn't so compressed so if anything it was less vibratey, though I don't recall there being much change at all. I did have to clearance the metal piece that fits around the shifters, no biggie and it may have had something to do with the 1" body lift + slight new drivetrain angle.
The motor mounts were more involved to do. They were separating and had sagged to the point that the fan hit the bottom fan shroud valance (if that happens, the bottom half of the fan shroud valance comes off via a clip at each top end and iirc 2 tabs closer to the middle- remove just that part until the mounts get replaced.) Again, I used Toyota mounts and again, if anything there was less vibration though I don't really recall much difference.
There's pics in the build thread, an impromptu how-to-ish. Okay, really just some documentation of what I did. Listed under 'mount' in the table of contents.
Now, the poly body mounts? THOSE are definitely wield more vibration.
My last 2 big vibrations were the rear lower control arms-shot bushings and the notchy feeling rear u-joint.

Thanks Hab! I think I'm just going to change the motor mounts for now. My trans mount looks a looot better than your old one
