Thanks, I went there to get my tank filled. It only took a couple of minutes and cost just under $10 for my 10 lb tank. I stood there and watched while the guy filled it. I told him I would like a little less than a full 10 lb since that would make it less likely to vent when it got hot. He said that he had planned on filling it to 9 lbs and he used a platform scale to measure the fill.

I looked at building my own from components using the beverage factory price for the tank and buying the rest of the components from OffroadAir didn't save me but maybe 10%. Given the small savings I went with the convenience of a complete package from OffroadAir through 4X4rockshop, shipping was free. If I hadn't already bought a set of Staun deflators I would have gotten a package from 4X4rockshop that included deflators and tire pressure gauge along with the CO2 system for an even better price.
If you are going to assemble your own system then in addition to the CO2 tank you need a presure regulator with a quick connect adapter for the hose and a hose with a quick connect on one end and a tire chuck on the other end. Look at the PDF catalog from the OffroadAir site and you will see all of the components.
My one complaint about the system I got from Offroadair was that I ordered a yellow tank but got a black one. Black is not a good color for a CO2 tank since letting a CO2 tank get too hot will cause it to dump its contents through its pressure relief diaphragm. I spray painted mine silver.

Because a CO2 tank carries more volume of gas than a similarly sized tank of nitrogen.
If you want to install a couple of those 10 gallon tanks in your 4Runner then that would be enough to air up your tires once.
Sure, if you are near a gas station. Just remember to stay at very low speed, say under 25 mph, while you are driving to the gas station.
CO2 tanks are also used to reinflate a tire offroad that has been punctured and field plugged.
