[MENTION=82154]GSPRunner[/MENTION], I got it for the cost of shipping since it was under warranty. The original cost was $299.99.
@Kurtis, driffter has recently gotten back into his 4Runner after selling his RAV4 DD. He has no internet service at his house and does not like using his phone for the forum. He and I will be at KOH again this year.
The rear left tire had a small piece of metal lodged in it, resulting in a slow leak. Had it patched at work by my friend Sam.

The 3rd gen will soon be put out of commission. Here are a list of things I will plan to tackle soon, in the form of a long garage hiatus. Turbo truck soon to be legal, will drive that instead. The Probe was just smogged and will be put for sale shortly, and the funds will be used to finance the following.
1. The front 4WD spindles have the original wheel bearings out of my old donor truck. The donor was from the Northeast and had 170k. Today, those wheel bearings have about 200k on them. They're sounding rough.
- Need to order new ones have them pressed in
2. The front upper and lower control arm bushings all have 220k on them. They're very squeaky. The front end feels unstable.
- Energy suspension polyurethane control arm bushings. I am not looking forward to installation of the lowers.
3. I continually question my aftermarket LBJ’s and don’t want to have a mishap. UBJ’s are from donor truck and need replacing.
- Tacoma LBJ’s. OEM UBJs if I can’t manage uniball control arms.
4. The steering feels looser. The rack definitely could use inner tie rods. Haven’t inspected the guide yet, but it may be best to replace as well.
- ITRE’s, OTRE’s (Tacoma), Guide
5. The front left caliper has a seized piston and the corresponding pad is wearing unevenly. The vehicle also has a slight pull to the left from this.
- Caliper repair kit and new pads. Perhaps new rotors as well. Already upgraded to 231mm TBU, but could use a powerstop kit or something.
6. The bushings on all four rear links aren't doing so well either. I'm getting a lot of side to side motion from the rear axle. The panhard bar is fully secure but needs to have the drop bracket installed (which I have from Toytec)
- Bushings… or maybe DOM uppers and lowers
7. Body mount bushings are old
- Energy Suspension Polyurethane bushings
Cosmetic:
1. The roof clear coat has taken a dive and big white spots are forming.
- Option 1: Remove front roof panel, windshield, install sunroof panel, repaint, new windshield. Install sunroof, headliner, drains, and wiring from donor truck (which I've saved)
- Option 2: Whitson Metalworks full length rack. (will be done whether or not Option 1 takes place)
2. The rock sliders need to be repainted.
- Repaint with SEM trim black, go over with SEM Rock Chip Guard (Flat clear)
3. CBI rear bumper needs to be height adjusted.
- Find a fab shop to modify the brackets.
4. Fix (or replace) LED Third tail light. Half of the LED's stopped working.
- Paint with red VHT translucent paint in the case it can be fixed.

The calipers are NHT brand from buybrakes.com. They don't seem to have the same warranty

Starting from header back. Crack welded in header collector. 2.5" flexpipe to prevent future cracking of header.
Followed by 2.5" catalytic converter. It had sections of pipe welded by LC Engineering to move the cat away from the transmission crossmember. Since my front crossmember had to be relocated during the 4WD conversion, the catalytic converter ended up being right on top. A flexpipe was installed between the cat and header to push the cat away from the crossmember.
Bolted up
Resonator removed, angle cut tip.
I'll try to get a sound clip before taking off for AZ. Don't count on it though
The old Jardine and the TRD exhaust tip will eventually make an appearance on COB's 87 4Runner Turbo.

Loving the new exhaust. The torque has returned and the gas mileage has improved drastically.

Did some wheeling with TRDteen and 4Running Daily.

Busted my radiator without even hitting anything. Damn thing just split open at the top of the tank. Shut it off by the time the scangauge hit 224F.
Let the 4Runner cool down, filled the radiator back up as much as possible with water bottles we had, left the radiator cap half off so pressure couldn't build, then chugged it over to the nearest gas station for more water. After filling it at the gas station, I got 6 miles back to home without touching 200F.
My friend John hooked me up with an old radiator he had laying around, the auto trans cooler was clogged. Had it in my truck before dark. Came from a 2RZ tacoma, so the core is smaller. Good temporary indeed, and with a price to match ($0)!
I have a new Koyo radiator on it's way along with a new lower radiator hose... I had to cut mine to fit the smaller radiator.
So the next day, my friend and I go back out into the canyon. This time, I'm running on the temporary radiator. I'm driving through when all of a sudden, I hear a metal-on-metal CLINK CLINK CLINK CLINK....
Got out, this... weird thing... got stuck in my tire and was banging the slider.
Thankfully, the tire that was punctured already had a small leak that was scheduled to be fixed. Swapped for the spare tire and got the sucker patched.
The unplugged hole shown was the existing leak, while the plugged hole was the one pictured above.
Inside view, this time new on left, old one on right.
New radiator hose already arrived in the mail, waiting for my radiator now. Glad this happened now instead of out in KOH or something.

Got the new Koyo radiator in.
Took a pic about halfway through, the new one fit without modification around the shrockworks bumper brackets.
Back to normal now. KOH Feb 5-9.

Great trip. Brought lots of fun stuff, got to do some shooting out in Lucerne Valley.

I found a good spot and got off to some nice panorama shots lol... every picture I take is with my iPhone. I use auto settings, never owned a fancy camera before. Its on the list.
Stuck around for two days in the dry lake, enjoying the vacation.
I was basically driving everywhere into everything.. one of my favorite parts was taking the desert all the way back to the main road for the next trip.
Down Old Woman Springs Rd, turn north onto Camp Rock Rd, then right onto Cambria to get to this area. This was our shooting spot, can't shoot near KOH. Same spot as last year.
Various foods:
Steak
Chicken breast
It sucked leaving. Back at home, where the christmas lights stay up year round.
