COB's 4Runner Timeline (Pic Heavy)

dude...good work..but god must hate you with all of the crap that has happened to your runner, way to keep high spirits and just keep on keeping on.
that would have discouraged some!!!

A quick time lapse, the 2nd to last photo being today.

You can see that it was not equipped with much. There was no roof rack, tow hitch, air deflector, or any fender trim. Also notice the faded/damaged bumpers, broken antenna, cracked license plate molding, base black mirrors and door handles, and 15" wheels.

In these photos, you can most notably see the new roof rack, air deflector, retracted new antenna, wheels and tires, SR5 badge, and treated bumpers. I restored the plastics with Meguiar's Back to Black/Hyper Dressing. A nice coat of dirt and mud always helps, too.

Notice the new wheels, 2002 model grille with billet, clear corner and bumper lenses, rear bumper, exhaust tip, LED tail lights, rear license plate molding, tow package (since removed), green mirrors and door handles. There are also more little things here and there. Interior is also refreshed with sport seats, miscellaneous bolt covers, buttons, OEM cargo mat, OEM floor mats, newer Pioneer head unit, 2 Alpine subs, OEM tweeters, and mirror pods. I ditched the front plate, too.

The major difference in the vehicle this time around would definitely be the new wheels and tires. The wheels are 17" Gunmental Tundra rims, and the tires are 265/70/17 BF Goodrich All Terrains. Mostly I've been doing maintenance and haven't been on top of the modding. New sway bar bushings and 30% tint are recent as well.

Big change here. The last set of pics shows all the paint chips really well. This photo, there are none. New sport hood, new fender, and repaint of a large portion of the vehicle. The tires got flipped to blackwall since I never wanted white letters in the first place. I busted the bottom valance on the front bumper, though. Pictured here next to brian2sun.

Last night, I saw LINY's post on his badges. I decided to go ahead and paint mine since they were bubbling and all that.

They look pretty good, I repositioned the SR5 badge to finally be in the right spot.

Also got some new speakers, Diamond M5 series components. I am gonna use these instead of the Alpine XD series ones I got a little while back.

BOO FOR CELL PICS!

Used bumper valance installed, it's in better shape than the old one. Freshly treated with Meguiar's Back to black.

Truck looks great! Thanks for the tip on the salvage yard. Weren't you planning on selling this one real soon and getting a 4x4?

My mom's van has been due for an upgrade, so she may end up in this 4Runner.

I'm not buying anything but bolt on stuff from now on until the decision is made.

Do you have any pics of that build?

the 22RE or the truck it's going in?

My brother has a 92 pickup that's been his project. The motor is more show than go, it's covered in chrome BS. Wasted time and money on things like billet overflow tank, chrome pulleys, etc. The outside of the truck looks like it came straight from Mexico, and the interior looks choppy that you'd swear it did come from Mexico.

Looks great dude. I love your wheels, if I ever swap mine out those would be some of the first I look at.
