Common oil leaks on front of motor?

Will be replacing the timing belt and water pump tonight and would like to address the oil leakage up front...what are the most common oil leak culprits at the front of the motor?

the half moon rubber flanges, the valve cover the 4 doughnut rings for the acorn nuts, make sure to seal the timing chain cover and the water pump. the line between the oil pan and timing chain cover, and overtorque the head by about 5 lbs. this is all based off the 22R series motor both carb and efi...and recheck all bolts after 2 weeks of driving....

Doh! I keep forgetting to mention this is a v-6. Thanks for the info on the 22r cause I also have an older pickup with one in it.
I've got replacement seals for the camshafts and the crank so I'll be putting those in. THis is the leakiest motor I've every had!

How hard is it to replace the pan gasket? Looks like it is leaking also.

I'm having a similar problem. The best I can see, the leak is coming from somewhere behind the AC pump and then I lose sight of it. I'd like to bring this topic back up please. Thanks.

Well have you tried to locate the leak yourself ?

Is it near the top of the engine or the bottom?
Drivers or passenger side?

This is what I can tell so far after pulling the engine cover and pressure washing the crap out of the engine and undercarriage.

This is short of pulling the radiator, fan, AC pump, etc..

After replacing the timing belt and the water pump and the crank and camshaft seals I have figured out that the valve covers and pan are leaking. Yipee. Only leaks about half the oil it used to so the new seals in the front helped out. The PS pump isn't leaking for me so that is good.

Gawd those valve covers look like a pain to remove...sort of like everything else on this v-6
