You need to place the jack between the frame and lower control arm with the ball joint bolts removed to get the lower arm to drop.

You need to create separation like this.

Place your bottle jack where I marked the red.

And then lift up on the knuckle and uca so you can slide the shock from the bottom, in front of the lca, between the steering arm and lca. You will have to pivot your sway bar up as well to get it out of the way.

Both front coils and shock installed. Gunna torque a few bolts and go for the rear. Y'all rock!!

So here it sits. On 2nd perch because my son didn't want a bro-lift he said. So I'm going to do the back in the morning without the day-star and hope it sits level...I actually think it would have been a little high if I went up one more honestly.

Houston we have a problem!! So when I put tires on and did take a slow drive to the store down my block, didn't notice this till tonight. Both sides are the same. It looks like the top shock bolts are just touching. No noises or anything on the drive, but I also didn't go over any bumps or drive over 20mph. I will investigate and research tonight to see what I did wrong. But hey, at least I'm consistent with both sides will work it out in the morning. Thanks again y'all!

Looks like you either didn't put the bottom washer in, or the rubber bushing. If say the washer.

Hmm, well, I'll check it out in the morning and take some pics. I gave the shocks and coils to my neighbor to bring to his shop and they compressed everything. Guess I'm going to get real good at disassembling and assembling my 4-Runner suspension. I'm actually enjoying this. Will post pics in the morning.

When everything is put together it should look like this:

Took back coil off and wondering if it matters which coil goes on passenger side versus driver side like the front coils they both look identical I think

Rears don't matter.

Ok, looking at it closer, one has a little wider gaps in between coils so which one should I put on the driver side. The one with more gap or a little less gap in the coil
