Cory i tried to buy that same set too off the FJ forum right? I guess you beat me to it ha.Good buy! I just picked up a new set of fj springs off another forum member for $150, gonna run it with the Cornfed 2/1 for now to maintain the Xreas until that goes then i can do a full suspension lift down the road!

Yeah the ones being sold by Tundra Builder? I should get them tomorrow from Fedex. I hope it was a good buy.

Finally installed my 5100's set at 1.75 with 2013 FJ Springs. I didn't measure before/after. To me, it looks pretty level now. The rear may even be a bit higher, but my tank is empty and I'm sure it'll all settle in... But for now I'm happy with it. Just ordered a set of Level8 wheels and Silent Armors. I really wanted SCS but I'm tired of waiting for them to restock. Ride/comfort wise, I don't think it's a HUGE difference. Some say it's day and night, if anything it's a little stiffer, but not by much. I'll measure the height now and maybe again in a few thousand miles to see how it settles...

Looks good! Like the wheel choice too, Def wanna see pics when its all complete. Hopefully i'll be posting pics in here soon enough as soon as i get my springs and spacers in.

I want to verify with you guys who have used the FJ setup. I have suspension off of a 2013 FJ "off road" package. I understand I need to grind the lower strut mounts narrower and enlarger the upper mounting hole to accomodate the rear shock.
My question is spacers. I have a 2004 I want the vehicle to sit level. So what are the recomendations? I'm thinking daystar 2.5/1.5?

turns out mine were pulled off the fj immediately upon purchase when
dealer installed lift . so they have less than 500 miles on them

Lucky you! I thought I scored with less than 70 miles on my 2013 set up.
BTW I've got a set of 2013 Tokico's up for sale in the Classifieds...

Will this setup from a 2013 FJ fit my 04 4Runner?
I want to get the coils installed onto the struts. I don't know what I need. I am assuming that since there is no mention of the top mounting plate, that the stock plate will fit on these struts? Are there bushings for the rear shocks?

Just did mine finally after sitting on the parts for a year...Bilstein 5100's at 2.5, FJ Coils, Daystar 1.5 spacer in the rear and All-Pro 1.5 spacers. Looks like the rear is up in the pics but the car had an 1/8th tank of gas.
Your truck is a lot like mine! Now that I've had my 5100/FJ setup for about 6 months I can say the ride quality is definitely more harsh compared to stock. The ride itself isn't that much firmer but when you drive over something seemingly small (like a manhole cover), the impact gets transferred directly to your spine. Such are the tradeoffs with these aftermarket setups. That being said, it's definitely better off-road compared to stock.

What is your rear setup? Any spacer or just 5100 and FJ springs?

I'm not running spacers in the rear. Just FJ's. If it's parked on level ground the sag isn't horrible, but parked on any incline it's pretty noticeable. I'm considering a rear Air-lift kit to set it where I want it, but I'm not sure how ride quality would be. Stay tuned...

Yep, there a few on the forum that are pretty similar to what we've got... How do you like those Silent Armors? Any good in mud, snow, dirt or sand? I just got a set, but they're not mounted yet. I just paid for a set of Matte Grey SCS Stealth 6 wheels last night. I hope those come in sooner than later...
As far as ride goes on the 5100's, they're better at times, but overall I'm satisfied with the swap. I haven't taken it wheelin' yet so, I don't know how they feel or what the difference is there. With the XREAS set up, I could tell it wasn't built for off roading.

So far I haven't taken the Silent Armors into mud, snow or sand, just typical loose/sharp rock type stuff you'll find in SoCal, Death Valley, etc. No issues. You can hear them sing slightly at ~75mph but it's acceptable. I didn't get the LT-rated Pro Grade versions, FWIW.

I've read this thread -and others like it- to death, and I have a question that I can't find an answer to. Keep in mind I just bought my `07 runner and love it. With this forum's help I've replaced instrument cluster lights, done the constant-on 12v mod, and have plans to add a CB and my light bars are coming in on a slow boat from China. I'd like to get some FJ springs underneath it, some 5100's and a Daystar 3/1.5 lift. So:
As our 4Runners get older, and the FJ Cruisers that could potentially supply springs also get older, what is the cut off (in mileage, let's say) before you wouldn't want to use someone's old springs anymore? I've been keeping my eyes open, checking Craigslist, here, T120 & FJ forums and it's getting harder to locate someone that has a full set of low mileage springs. I don't want to do all that work and spend $100 or so in shipping only to find I bought someone's abused, sagging springs.
I've looked into aftermarket MOOG Coil springs for an `07 FJ, and places like rockauto have them for about $100 front and rear. I know a lot of y'all have a pretty low opinion of aftermarket parts, but are they at least comparable to OEM springs?
You see my conundrum, what would you do?

It really depends on how hard the springs were abused which we can't tell. I'd definitely stay away from anything with more than 50K miles on them.
I wanted 5100s at first too but ended up buying a TT FJC set with 20K miles on them, quite happy with it. As you probably know already, TT suspension have Bilstein shocks.
Springs are direct swap from any year FJC, not only 07. You could also buy new OEM springs for about 350 I believe.
