I was wondering if there was any input concerning converting my 94 runner from a 3.0 v6 with an auto trans to a 22re with a 5SP any wisdom concerning electronic throttle control or ECT switch or A.D.D vacumm plug, can I use the same gauge cluster? These are just few of the issue I was wondering about and sure their are those who have gone before and made this all work. I'm using the wiring harness and computer from the 22RE motor maybe this ECM does even consider any A/T code?

If the 22RE is from the same gen truck it will help, and using the 22RE's ECM and wiring harness should make things a lot easier. As far as gauge clusters, if both speedos are the same type (mechanical or electronic) you should be OK.

Cluster will need to come out of a 4 cyl... Tach is calibrated differently...

Tach can be recalibrated to work with 4 or 6 cyl engine.
