Cool benefit of HCF found - anti-mouse properties!

This guy easily ate through the air filter then scratched and chewed and scratched and chewed but could not get through the HCF! Am I the first to document the anti-mouse properties of the HCF? Living in the country, I'm definitely not doing the HCF delete mod (or I guess I could put wire mesh over the air intake).

Yes, I think you are the first to demonstrate this. I'd be worried about those bastards eating the wiring as well. Luckily, we don't have a mouse problem here but I'm starting to think about putting that HCF back in.

Dang! Rodents never stop.
I had pack rats literally eat all the 'newish' spark plug wires and a bunch of rubber parts...killed my van. Donated it to the local Blind persons charity.

Found a good internet rat-killer.
Equal parts sugar/flour/baking soda.
Mix it up.
I put it in little paper mouth rinse cups.

I guess they cant fart.

It wont hurt other animals that can.

3 years in a row, always in January, those little buggers ate my knock sensor harness.

Insurance, thankfully, pays for most of it, but I don't appreciate the $200 part of the tab I pick up for their fancy meal.

I also feel terrible asking the guys at the shop to fix it.
