Cornfed 1" front spacer to level only...

Hello -

New to me 2018 SR5 Premium. At the risk of totally beating a dead horse I would like some thoughts/opinions.

My initial plan is to do suspension lift etc. etc. when my kid finishes school (fingers crossed). For now I want to lift/level front end and add 'better' A/T tires. I am thinking the 1" spacer for now but where I am struggling is that this truck seems to not have as much rake as I have seen on others. But I am assuming it is 100% stock.

Can someone comment on pic and confirm it indeed appears stock.

Thank you.

As I suspected probably a dumb question... It sure appears stock based on the pic above it when I see them together. I just can't figure out why it visually appears to have less rake than some stock trucks I see around. Apparently I will need a lesson in measuring etc. to confirm. I measured from roughly center of wheel on both front and back and it appears to be close to ~2" different...

Thanks

You are 100% stock, 1" front gets you almost level. You can't measure wheel center to fender as a base because the fender opening is not cut in the same place in the back as it is in the front. If you're interested in a 1" front leveling kit, feel free to call or text me. 631-202-8245

New member, don't think I can PM yet. Possible to get a quote from you on the 1" front leveling kit? Thanks!

Considering a 1" front as well. I'm currently running 3" front and rear Dobinsons MRA kit. I had to go with 3" in the rear to get long travel, but unfortunately that puts me at a factory rake. Would prefer a 0.5" spacer instead, but am not sure who offers that.

Hey all. I have a 16 Limited with TRD wheels and 265/70/17 General Grabber ATs. I have some rubbing while turning in reverse and was looking at the 1” lift (1/2” thick) Cornfed front spacers to hopefully alleviate this.

Can anyone with a similar set up confirm I’ll get some relief by installing these? Thanks

Installed the cornfed 1” front lift spacer I asked about it the previous post. Still have a little bit of rubbing in reverse but it helped. I think I’ll just take the heat gun and remold the plastic in the areas it rubs now. I figured this wouldn’t completely solve the rubbing for me but the 4Runner needs an alignment anyway and for $50 I prefer it to be a little more level.

Here are before and after pics in case anyone is interested. Top is before, bottom is after. Photos are leveled through the wheel centers as best I could get them. Front height measurements at center of wheel before were driver: 34 1/8 passenger: 34 1/2. After the spacers the measurements are driver: 35 3/8 passenger: 35 5/8

were my spacers cut too thick?

I see that these spacers are supposed to be 3/8" thick but mine are 9/16" thick and as a result lifted the front too high. Is it possible cornfed accidentally cut them too thick? Can somebody tell me their measurement from center of wheel to bottom of fender front and rear? Thanks.

Edit: I am measuring 21.5" from center of wheel to bottom of fender flare so I'm pretty sure my spacers are too thick and are giving me 1.5" of lift.
Also, my spacers have notches instead of holes like in all the pics on this thread.

Edit: Talked to cornfed and they are supposed to measure 1/2"....so mine are only 1/16" thicker which means I got an extra .5" some other way. Might drop down to a 3/8". Great people over at cornfed!

A 1” front leveling kit is 1/2” thick not 3/8” The 3/8” thick spacer would provide .75” lift. There are no 9/16” thick spacers available. Please post a picture after install from the side as well as a picture of the top of the shock showing your work. If you got 1.5” lift there was likely an install error like torquing your lower control arm bolts with the truck in the air rather than off the jack at ride height. To achieve 1.5” lift from a top hat spacer, the spacer would have to be 3/4” thick which is impossible. The studs on the shock are not long enough for that, you’d never be able to bolt it back in.

I have some 1” spacers coming and a shop installing them with 17x8.5” 0 offset wheels and Toyo Open Countries in 265/70. Will be subtle but between the level and kicking the tires out a little bit from the stock +15 offset wheels I think it’ll be a good look.

For anyone interested in a 1" front kit, or any other kit, please give me a call, text, PM 631-202-8245

It will look good. I’m running this setup on stock struts and coils. The problem is if you load up the rear and cargo area with people or other stuff, the rear will sag and there will be negative rake (measured at the frame).

Yea I think that’s the price you pay going level. At least with stock suspension. Maybe with Bilstein 5100s it wouldn’t be as bad but I really like the stock suspension. I have nothing to compare it to though so might be an ignorance is bliss situation.

I even thought about just getting 1/4” spacers for a 1/2” front lift but probably not worth the cost and effort for that.

Front Spacers

I put a 1" spacer on my 2010 TE. Just jack it up and twist in the spacer. No special mods needed. I put 190K miles on the vehicle before I traded it in on my 2022 model. I plan to do the same on my new runner to level it.

Are you talking about the steel wedges that twist in between the coils?

I have a question on the front spacers. I did spacer lifts on two trucks because the front suspension was very close to the bump stops and on larger dips, they would bottom out. After the spacer lift, it took a much larger bump to make the bump stops hit.
Will a 1" spacer lift give my suspension a tiny bit more travel before hitting the bump stop like on my trucks?
