Cornfed on the way

I had Jason make mine too and couldn't be happier. Because I have the FJC springs he made me some .75" net lift spacers that work great.

Great write up and pics. I am looking for a Cornfed kit as well. Haven't decided if I want the 1/0 leveling kit, or a 2/1 lift.

I want to thank everyone on here - you guys helped me get exactly what I wanted out of this leveling kit and I have this site to thank. Hivel, J.A., Josh220, IronCladLou, G.I.G., Falls, CJ3 and many others - thanks for your help. Without yalls help this would have been an expensive trial and error process.

Sounds silly but I feel like I'm walking towards a new car when I approach it since the spacer lift - walking and smiling. :biggrin2:

did you install the spacer yourself. the reason i ask is because i have a similar spacer. the only question i have is do you need to knock the old studs out of the top plate?? them put the new bolts throght the spaces and the top plate? or just a couple close up pics of the spacer on the truck would be great too. thanks

No I didn't - I had them installed so I can't help. I know a lot about cars, but I do not know how to take them apart and reput together, nor do I want to. Start a thread about it - many people will know the answer in here.

You will have to knock the studs out. I used a mini-sledge (3lb hammer that looks like a big sledge hammer). 2 whacks and they come right out. The plate is thick enough that bending the metal isn't an issue. If you live in a northern climate I would start spraying PB Blaster/Liquid Wrench a couple of days before I did the install. If you are mechanical & have a spring compressor it's no big deal...

did your space have the bolts threaded through it?? then the top plate goes on?? i have a strut compressor , works great took me about 1/2 hour to do my fj springs. i got a set of trd bilstiens of a fj. come with front and rear springs i got this spacer a couple months ago. now i what to put it in the new setup i have while them are off.

Yes, the bolt is torqued LIGHTLY into the spacer and then the nut squeezes it all together. Works good, lasts a longtime... :bigok: When I first looked at it I was :wtf: but as I was putting it in it all came together.

cool. thanks. i will post pics once im all done. im getting a magnaflow in a week or so. cant wait to put it on. just put one om my buddys dodge sound nice.
