Couple ?'s regarding a lift for my 99'

I am looking at OME, either:

881/890 or 881/906. I am not planning to get a trim packer for the front at this time and dont want it to have a nasty rake to it. Tow a utility trailer a few times a year, otherwise its pretty much empty. Havent taken it offroad yeat, but doesnt mean I wont in the future. Currently running 265/75 Duratracs with 8k on them and dont really want to replace, but at the same time I dont want the have the truck look rediculous with too much lift and too small of tire.

With either of the above lift combo's, how much actual lift should I expect on a 99'? Its my understanding that the 881's generally provide around 2.5"s of lift, but assume that would be for a lowriding 02'. So maybe a 1.5"s for my 99'

Also, the 99' coils appear to be sought after for those that want only an inch or so of lift on the other 4runner years. What would be a good asking price for my stock suspension? It has 165k on it, but seems to be in good shape. No real noticable sag in the rear.

881s w/ 906s will sit pretty level and should give you ~1-1.5" over your '99 suspension. 890s will rake it unless you get the top spacers so, yeah.

I don't know what you'd sell youir used '99 coils for, I personally don't think you'd get more than $100 for all 4. ??

You 265/75 Duratracs will still look good with a lift. Lots of people run 265s w/ 3" lifts and they still look ok, definitely not ridiculous or anything.

not all 99 springs are talls

Just be aware that your existing 99 springs may not be the talls necessarily.

My 99 had the short springs for example. So the amount of lift you gain is hard to be certain about. Check the color coding on the coils.

Sonoran Steel website I believe has a chart of the various colors and their meanings.

$100 for all 4 previous springs would be a nice reasonable number. You can perhaps get a bit more for them if they are truly the talls.

Can you tell by looking at my truck if it has the taller coils? It is sitting on the 265/75's that I mentioned earlier.

Also, I was thinking to eek out a little more lift without much trouble would be to add the trim packers at the time of install. This way it would keep the softer riding springs. Anyone else do this?

I checked the color code of the springs today and they are the tall ones.

The more I am researching the more I think I will do the 881's with the top plate and 890's. Considered the 882's with no spacer, but it sounds like they may ride like crap.

The 883's seem to work well. they will give you a little more height and still maintain a good ride and have less of a chance of sagging

I love the stance you currently have with the 99 tall springs. For sure will be my next modification...

okay so my guess is you will gain about 3 inches up front and 2 in the rear. I am no expert-that is just my rough guess.

Take measurements now, some folks like to do both floor to fender (flare for you) edge and center of hub to fender edge.

Sounds like folks lining up already to buy your tall 99s. Your lift will practically pay for itself... okay not really but sort of...

are these guys on here and Yota Tech great or what? Really helpful group on both forums...
