$60 Coupon for Dueler A/T Revos Expires 12/31

There is a coupon out for $60 off a set of 4 Dueler A/T Revo's if anyone is interested at Firestone locations (maybe this is a Bridgestone coupon overall but haven't seen it yet at other locations). Not quite the buy 3 tires get 1 free I was waiting for but better than nothing. Might as well buy myself a post Christmas gift. Plus it is finally snowing here!!! Pulling my sleds to the UP in 4 weeks, these new shoes should help.

I wanted to get the GY Silent Armor but I contacted GY and they will not have the SE stock size 265/65/17 out for at least 11 months. They have their new sizes scoped out for the next 8-11 months, and that size is not on the list. And I really don't want to upsize, would rather stay with stock size.

I would still consider upsizing. Granted you will have to buy 5 tires but also the tires will be cheaper than the 65's will be .

Yeah I would liked to have tried the GY Wrangler Silent Armors, the tread looks very good, I have been in my friends jeep who has these on, and they handle very well in the slush, and deeper snow. we used his jeep to haul some snowmobiles last year. Taking my 4R this year. But I would like to stick to the stock size for the extra width vs the extra clearance. More tire on the road for traction. Just a personal preference. Plus I head to Colorado for a few trips and I am worried my chains would not fit well in my wheel wells if I went up a size....

Getting the Revo's installed on Jan. 9th as all the shops are out of them around me until then....

Sounds like a good plan. Just so you know the narrower the tire the better in snow. Also the 70's are cheaper. The stock size is such an oddball that alot of mfg. dont have it on the list to be made. Probably not cost effective for them.

Thanks Falls, yeah it is not an easy choice, the narrower tire would be better for snow driving, but I was thinking I would have to go down to 245 before I really noticed a difference one way or the other, then I might as well get dedicated snow tires. I was thinking more rubber on the road for normal driving and control.

But you are right about the tire being an odd ball size, and there is a chance GY will never come out with the Wrangler Silent Armor in this size. But maybe I will try those next in the 70s.....I just am not sure my chains would work in the front if I went with the 70's

Now we just need more snow in the midwest!

I won't be ready to buy a set until the mid-end of Jan. I wonder if they'll honor the same price at that time? I guess they'll have to if they want the sale, since I don't "need" a set, but at 30k on the dumflops, they have little tread left for the winter so it would be nice.
