Man I have been slow to get everything posted haven't I...
Anyways here are the pictures.
I ended up doing coilover and UCA install, rebooted the inner CV's, Diff drop, Oil change plus install my Fumoto quick drain valve, and topped off the front diff.
I'm not gonna lie, it took a while to get everything complete. It wasn't hard just time consuming.
One thing that is a little weird is that with the preset on the coils set with the upper collar threaded down almost 2", there was no height difference in the final outcome... The front is still at 37" ground to fender. Thats the same as it was with the 1" top out on the stock suspension. Seems to me that it should have sat higher from the get go. Either way I can adjust some preload and spin the collar down farther. Only bummer is that I have to unbolt the UCA to do it seeing as on full droop the UCA is right in line of the collar....
Here are some pictures of the install. I don't take many pictures during installs typically as I am too busy getting my hands dirty to step back and grab the camera.
You already saw these but might as well throw them back in the timeline again.
What I started with.
Once I got everything out.
CV's out to see what i'm dealing with.
Looks like the roller bearings are still in good shape.
Getting things back together.
Once I got the spindles back with the uniball adapters pressed in
Done and done back on the ground.
As you can see the height is still the same as it was. I will be adjusting them probably Friday evening so I can take it in for alignment first thing Saturday. I think I'm gonna spin down the collars till I have 3" of threads showing.
Anyone have any input on where that should sit me height wise???
Also for those that are wondering about the tundra brake swap and wheel clearance, here is a shot of the spoke clearance on the racelines. they are 4.5 BS.
Also because I can, the first two of the 38's are finally being brought to work to ship down to Jim at ODL for his Sammi buggie. Bummed that I will never be able to put them to use, but I'm glad that Jim will be able to get some use out of them.
Enjoy.
