creaking noise in rear brakes/rear diff

ok guys and gals, I'm going to demonstrate my ignorance about my 4Runner. I've got a 05 2x4 SR5, every time I put the truck in gear while I'm on the brake (like pulling out of the driveway) something creaks. My guess is that it's either the rear brakes (but I'm not sure where), or more likely it's the differential/propeller in the rear, since that's where the sound comes from and its rear wheel drive.

I crawled around for a while this morning underneath looking at the propeller shaft trying to find a Zerk fitting or something on to lube in order to try stop the creaking.

I spend some time in the tech manual, but I couldn't find anything about what and where to lube, or what I should be even looking at. I only have 37k on it and I've taken good care of it, so I'm at a bit of a loss. Do you all have any ideas? I would really appreciate some help.

2WD 4Runners doesn't have grease fittings on the driveshaft.

yeah, I noticed that in the service manual. I guess what I was trying to ask is how do you lube the driveshaft? I know it was by the factory, because there's still some down there, but I was curious as how to do it myself....thanks.

It's your brakes. Mine does it too, as does my 07 Mazda 3. Only after the car has sat for a while and has cooled down. When you start any car these days, the EPA regulations require the engine to idle a bit higher than normal to warm it up quicker (less pollution from a warm engine than cold). However, the higher the rev, the more force put through the drivetrain when you put it in gear. Match that extra desire to move the wheels with cold rotors and pads, and you get that noise. Ever washed you car, parked it, and then went to back out of the garage and hear your brakes make a god-awful hum? Same thing really.
