I've had my '12 TE for over 2 years now and have put over 55k miles on it. Overall I love the truck and have had no real issues with it.
The one thing that has remained an annoyance for me (and I've just dealt with it) is the cup holders. They just don't seem to work worth a crap for me. If I take the inserts out they're way to freaking huge and anything you put in them flops all over the place. WITH the inserts in, however, it seems like my travel mug, most of my water bottles, etc fit in there just snug enough that anytime I grab it out I get the insert stuck onto the bottom of it.
Has anyone out there found an aftermarket insert that is more "fluid" in how it fits the cups? I was thinking something that functions more like this image:
