CV boot failure

I know a lot of you have lifted your 4th gen runners with either a 2 or 3 inch front lift. I installed a Readylift 3" front 2" rear and within a day the passenger side inner boot (on the small side of shaft) failed. I had the clamp replaced and it last a day or two and then I noticed the driver side boot clamp failed at the same location. The leaks are small now but I do not want it to get worse. Has anyone had trouble with their CV boots after lifting???

I only have 53500 miles on my 2003 but I am wondering if the actual boot near the clamp has a tear or crack that is allowing the grease to escape.

I can't be the only one who has seen this problem.

I have a 2004 with 66,000 miles, and I just had the boots on the drivers side replaced. I have no lift and stock tires.

04 83,000 3'' lift. just had the pass side replaced.

sucks cuz my drivers side is showing a little leakage.

Roughly 41K. Have the Daystar kit on. Starting to show signs on my outer boots.

Thanks for everyone's input

Last night I installed a 1" front differential drop kit from ReadyLift. The way the differential is hung from the cross member only gives about a 3/4" drop. After the install the drive shaft angles were improved but not to the oem angles. I will run it for a few days and see if this helped.

installed a 3/2 cornfed lift....1 month later both boots leaking...inner and outer.

since were on the topic of post-lift issues...anyone had to get new adjustable UCAs? apparently i need them cuz my tires are wearing really bad because the tires are postioned slightly inward at the bottom...mike07se knows what im talkin bout haha.

btw mike we need to order that soon cuz my tires gettin worse. new projectttt hahah

well its gonna go on the CC anyway so might as well order it now haha.

im drivin down to NC in a month and need to get it done b4 then cuz that tire is gonna wear reallll bad. after we do it im jus gonna swap that one with the spare cuz theyr the same.
