CVJ axles - silicone boot?

So my inner CV boot is beyond torn. Think I'm just going to buy a re-man'd axle from CVJ. I also might do both sides while I'm at it.

They offer one that has an aftermarket silicone inner boot (apparently holds up better and can handle a lift better when I get that)

The normal off the shelf axle is ~$75 / side, while the silicone boot is an extra $25 per side.

Anyone have experience with the silicone boots? Is this worth the price increase? Or is it just a gimmick that will wear out just as fast as the OEM boot?

Thanks!

Bumping an old thread, but what is the general conciseness on the inner silicon CV boots (from the people who have actually used them or have direct experience with them)?

Both of mine are leaking and I'm trying to figure out if I want to go with regular OEM axles or ones with silicon inner boots. I've heard, and even CVJ warns against, that the silicon boots stretch more due to centrifugal force and can rub on other parts of your suspension causing the boots to tear.
