Dash Kit for a 2000 Limited

Change your search terms to "stereo install kit". You'll have many more options.
Tried the additional search terms and I did get quite a few more options, however, reviews of many were less than glowing and some said avoid like the plague. I've tried to sort through them and pick one whose reviews were at least "middle of the road", but I figured some of the folks on here who added aftermarket radios had some experience with these stereo install kits and could offer up some that they knew had worked well with the 2000 4runner Limited.

Any suggestions?

A dash kit is a dash kit. I'm pretty sure 99% of the folks on here who put in aftermarket receivers just go with the Metra kits recommended(and usually added to the order for free) by Crutchfield.com

Its just a molded piece of plastic made to fit your specific make/model, nothin fancy.

I used a Metra kit in my 2000 limited but I only used the wire harness. Whatever stereo you buy would dictate what kit you would need if you want brackets, bezels etc.

Not sure if theres something special you're doing here, but you don't need a kit for most Toyotas(including the 3rd Gen). The metal side brackets that you remove from the factory stereo serve as the same brackets you bolt to your aftermarket stereo.

Did mobile install at Bestbuy for 3 years...

Nothing really special, just like to have a kit that has the storage slot with it so I can slip a phone in there rather than tossing it on the seat beside me.
