dashboard light power source?

I'm installing some lighted V-Series Contura II sealed rocker switches.

These SPST can be tied into the dashboard lights so they light up when the dashboard lights turn on. Can someone who has done this before please let me know what wire and where they tied into?

Based on both of the threads you just started, I would recommend buying a decent test light. It will make all of your wiring needs much easier.
I would recommend this for any DIY's. You could even get one that is circuit protected and determine if it gets power through ground. Toyota uses this type of circuitry all over the place.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have a volt-meter and test light... I just don't want to try every single wire in the engine bay or under the dash. So the original question still stands; what is a good wire to splice into for the dashboard lighting?

The easiest way is to tap into the marker light circuit, so that when you turn the headlights on, they will come on. Look in the drivers kick panel and check the harness that goes to the back of the truck. Somewhere in the will be a wire that goes from 0 to 12v when you turn the headlight switch one click with the ignition on. DO NOT probe any harnesses with yellow split loom or tape over them.
