I'm leaving for Hawaii tomorrow so I don't really have time to announce all the details just now, but I just wanted to prepare everyone for what's coming. I'll be back from my vacation in about 2 weeks and I'll announce the details at that time. Don't worry though, the fee will be nominal.

Have you thought about how many people you would lose to this change, not to mention the younger members who do not have credit cards? What's most likely to happen is people will move on to free forums.

We have bounce around the idea of charging $12/year for each member. It's equal to a year's subscription to Car & Driver and this forum provides way more info than any magazine about the 4runner.With the new software, we can then allow paid members full access, while visitors will not be allowed to read much of the forum.
Again, the above proposal is a work in progress among admins/owner and mods.

OK, when were you going to let me know? And how did you come up with a $12 fee? While I am at it, Mods don't get paid a dime, we do it for the "love" of this forum. Plus, going on vacation at the same time your asking for fee's seems a little insensitive.Thai said:Again, the above proposal is a work in progress among admins/owner and mods.
