Dealer Service recommendations for Vancouver BC Canada?

My 4Runner will soon be due for it's first scheduled maintenance and I'd like to hear any recommendations for reliable Toyota dealer service in the Greater Vancouver area. Langley, Surrey, White Rock are closest but will travel farther if necessary for best service.

I understand the standard oil change is more involved than a routine job, what with skid plate re&re and O-rings on drain plug and oil filter, so I want to avoid any mistakes.

You are correct that its a bit more involved then the old, drop the drain plug, unscrew filter, lubricate filter gasket, screw new filter on, insert plug and fill but not by much just a couple extra steps.

been to mapleridge, burnaby and north vancouver ones.
north van good. Burnaby avoid... mapleridge not bad...
Just pick one that has lots experience on 4runner or where you see lots 4runner on its lot
the cost is bit different too $5~10

I have dealt with Jim Patterson in North Vancouver auto mall. Had a great experience there.

I needed a new front license plate bracket, they didn't have one in stock at that time but then next day the service guy drove to my apartment and put it in for me.

I will be dealing with them from now on only.

Got my t4r from the JP North Shore... also had my Taco from there too. Haven't had a bad experience in the past 7yrs for what it is worth

I would stay away from Langley Toyota town. I went there cause I got a free oil change with the purchase of my truck but didn't have the best experience. If I had to get anything serviced by a dealer I would either go to north van or try any Jim Pattison dealer. North van would be my preference as they service a lot of trucks up there.

Fully agree, if not this time maybe another. either way i'd highly recommend doing the Oil Changes yourself. If its your first time, or you're not mechanically inclines, take your time and follow the write up. Its an easy thing to do and it helps you learn a bit more about your vehicle.

hi there chiming in late here.l would agree with jpattison toyota in surrey top notch knowledgeable service.and a big one if you have k d s s jpattison has the special tool for pressuring that system.avoid Granville toyota at all cost they do not know what there talking about .hope that helps Chris.

I did buy at Langley but rarely see a 4Runner anywhere on their lot which leads me to wonder how much 4Runner specific service experience they may have. Will check out JP North Van and/or Surrey in advance of a service requirement.

I may do my own oil changes but will be good to have a reliable/recommended shop lined up in advance of need.

I checked out both JP North Van and Surrey, and sure enough, several 4Runners at both locations. Booked the 8,000KM service at JP Surrey yesterday and all good.

Oil change isn't due until 16,000KM service but everything checked out and tires rotated. Impressive, efficient operation.

The service writer was telling me he has a 2012 T4R with 66,000KM and has had to do nothing other than scheduled service and oil changes, so that was good to hear.
