Defiant Light Bar

I want my light setup like that! are the inner big fogs 7" and outer 5"? Are those Omix-ADA fogs? Were they wired up to 1 or 2 fog light switches?

7" inner, 4" outer. Those were demo lights for the picture. I ultimately went with HID-x lights in the same dimensions. I have two switches. 1 for inner and 1 for outer.

All right guys! Just got back from Defiant, just want to first say that Paul is a totally awesome, cool and down to earth guy! Spent a few hours in the shop and was able to snap a few pics of the updated bars. I opted for the pre-runner bar, just keep in mind that I currently don't have any pics with my LF 240's on it which fills up the hoop very nicely. Ill update this thread tomorrow with my lights on it. Anyways onto the pics, ENJOY!

looking forward to seeing your setup--wondering, what additional functionality does the pre-runner bar give you, or is it purely cosmetic?

^Other than pushing small kids out of the way...LOL! Its purely cosmetic.

Okay so I finally got around to snapping some pics with my LF 240's. Still waiting on the wiring harness to come in but this gives you guys an idea of how well the hoop is filled with the larger lights. For those interested in the pre-runner bar, be sure to give paul the specs on your lights so he can build the hoop around them. Also for anyone interested in the newly redesinged short or long tube Paul will have one set of each in the garage sale portion at a discounted price. So that would be a great opportunity to jump in on them. ENJOY!

I used OTRATTW supplied switches and surrounds. I've got a single surround coming for the OEM location to the left, because the switches do not fit wihtout modifying the hole. since the switches are narrower than the OEM hole (and taller) using the surrounds cleans things up nicely and provides a snug and secure fit.

It's a cellphone pic while I was waiting at a stoplight, but you get the idea. The work light and compressor switches will go into the two empty locations.

Okki

Are there any pictures of the short bar with only two lights? I'm interested in mounting two PIAA fogs but I want them sort of not too far out and not so close in the middle, but somewhere in between, does that make any sense...

No, didnt have any short bars with 2 tabs for 2 lights. If anything email Paul with you light dimensions and how far apart you want them. It should be a problem with him fabricating what your looking for.

Paul is more then willing to help anyone out. I think I spent a week with him going back and forth with different light combos, and different dimensions. He was real patient with me as I am really particular about my stuff. But he did exactly as he said. I emailed the dimensions I wanted and this is what I got...

I ordered a short tube the other day. I had a short tube and a pair of Hella 500's on my 4th Gen. The bar is awesome. Rock solid. And just for the record, I was across the street one day and watched a taxi back into my truck. It hit the the riser part of the bar edge on. Left a nice crease in his bumper, not a nick on the Defiant.

Paul is a super nice guy and makes a nice product, don't hesitate to do business with him!

Yeah the brackets are rock solid. The short/long tubes have no vibration, the pre runner did have slight vibration when I was running highway speeds on bumpy pavement. Otherwise it feels pretty beefy.

I think this is the way I'll go too. Looks great. Way cheaper than a full ARB or Shrock setup.

Just mounted one of Paul's short tube bars. Outstanding quality, you know you bought a quality product when the guy e-mail's you to say that FedX just notified him of the delivery and do I have any questions with the installation.

Lights are mounted, HID ballasts are in place , just need to wire up the switches.
