I agree, we were graced with alot of factory lights in the bumper and I was hoping for slots for those in the new bumper...

I like where this is going, but it's not just the bumper valence that is being cut, the fender liner is needing work too (you can see the uncut unit still hanging in the background). The integrated lights are fog lights and turn signals. If they include wiring paths for fogs under the hoop, that would be relatively easy to wire into by unhooking the factory fogs and plugging the aftermarket fogs into the OEM harness... Or to include them integrated into the bumper below and outside the DO.
Having just cut my rockers for Shrockworks Rock Rails, I am not sure about cutting the plastic bumper. Getting it straight and "finished" looking is going to be hard. I had to high-speed cut the rockers with a jigsaw to keep the plastic from biting or melting.
Is DO planning on including a top-shell with the bumper?

Yes they have to cut the fender liner aswell since this is a high clearance bumper that can give the 4runner that much more capability. I have already dented up my stock bumper twice just doing moderated offroading and now having this much more clearance will give me piece of mind and also keep my wife of my back for damaging the family vehicle. Lol. This clearance would also compliment the rocksliders due to the fact that the sliders probably are mounted at the level or higher than the stock bumper. The stock bumper will be the first thing to meet a nice boulder before the sliders come into play. Sorry for the rambling but IMO an aftermarket bumper is probably the second or third best mod for body protection.

i am highly disappointed that they're not incorporating the oem turn signals. I asked about it on their facebook page and they pretty much said you will have to wire in the aftermarket lights they sell which is additional. i like the oem functions of the drl, fog light and turn signal.

I wonder if they would collaborate with a company like Seibon and deliver the off-road bumper with a replacement plastic part so you don't have to cut your stock bumper. I'd rather store mine in the attic that having to spend the couple $$$ to buy a replacement one. When i had my custom carbon fiber hood made for a Honda CRV the cost wasn't that high and that was a one-off. If they have a reasonable turn over (Demello) they could make the piece pretty cheaply.
Integrating the OEM corner markers and fog lights would be nice too.

I really dont understand why everyone is so upset about the lack of turn signals. Most after market bumpers are made this way, with you supplying your own fogs. And why do you need another turn signal down there when you have one in your headlight?

We don't have a signal in our headlight, its in the bumper cover and the mirrors.

There is'nt one in the headlights on my Limited. That yellow on the outside of the headlights is just a marker/parking light and does'nt blink.I'm like you ,I thought they would blink.Not sure about the SR5/TE's without turn signals in their mirrors.I guess you could splice them off the lowers so they do blink!
It's kind of wierd that they use those yellow lower turn signals as daytime running lights also. That's why I put clear bulbs,like daytime running lights, in mine and will switch them back when I have it inspected.
There are turn signals on my mirrors.

well then that really is a stupid decision by toyota to put the turn signal down low like that. Its in a place that is less visible than if it were in a headlight like normal. I also dont like the fact that the daytime running lights arent always on, but thats just me.

"Low" is a relative term, as they are eye level with a Corvette driver. I like the DRL off switch because they are really bright and not needed in low speed situations or when driving on and off the local ferries.
And as much as I like the direction Demello is going, I want the stock lights to fit into it.

I stopped by Jason's shop today and really like the look of the bumper. I was told the final product will be slightly different than below where a winch can be mounted and there will be extra support brackets for the sides of the bumper since they are long.
A lot of work will need to be done with the stock bumper and plastic fascia where one will have to cut off a substantial portion (i would be scared to tackle this on my own, especially with the stock bumper). You can see just how much was cut off in the pictures below. I was also told they were thinking about making a cutting template to make this process easier for the consumer if they plan to install themselves. After seeing this in person, I have no doubt that the final product will look and fit great on the 5th gen.
I did not discuss the lights/turn signals with them, sorry :redbrick:

not to sound unsupportive, but I don't think they have anything to worry about from ARB in the current design phase they seem to be in...:roadkill:
