Glad you found your way over here. Follow the link to the URD website posted here earlier. It will tell you exactly what you need.
Are you sure the URD was updated? I'm running through this same problem right now.
I have a 2000 2wd non-cali auto. I bought the 4162, like it says in the URD and the cable was too short. I returned it and swapped to a 4154 and the cable is STILL too short for a direct replacement. The female end of the O2 sensor is clipped onto a crossbar and I will have to unclip it and stretch the cable over for it to fit.
Is there a difference between all of these part numbers aside from cable length?
I had my Cat stolen a couple years ago and the muffler shop only welded 1 Cat back on. Therefore, along with the sticker that says "not for California", I assume I have a non-California version.
I also have a 4 cylinder, so according to the URD, there is only 1 more possibility of the 4622. How do you check how long the cables are on these without having to buy them?

I got the lengths from the autozone website. Autozone says you should use 4162 which is 10 inches, so that doesn't seem right based on what you're saying.
There's got to be something wrong here. If nothing else, I think you could just buy a 4155 that has 24in of harness length to be safe. I know for certain that the sensor itself is identical in every way other than the harness length, but I think that is the difference between all these part numbers. I don't think they would have different functioning sensors within the same model year.

I went to the dealership and the guy was just as confused. Gave him my vin and he said it's showing the Air Fuel sensor, but also an O2 for the front. Didn't really help at all.
I think you want the following off URD
1999 & 2000 49 State 2WD & 4WD auto V6; Front = 234-4162 1999 & 2000 49 State 2WD & 4WD auto V6; Rear = 234-4162
Denso 234-4162 Oxygen Sensor : Amazon.com : Automotive
If it is Cali Spec it clearly says that on that sticker, at least mine does and its a 1999. I think years 2000 and later all received two cats which may be the source of confusion, maybe someone can verify. If anyone has a model year 2000 and above and only one cat please call bullshit on me. Don't go to the stealership get it off that link I provided you'll save 75% in comparison and its the same part.
Ol'Blue I don't think you'll find it cheaper than amazon, at least I didn't. goodluck
a/f ratio sensors usually have 5 wires on the pig tail and o2s usually only 1 or 2 wires. You should be able to easily tell that way.
