Came out good! Let us know how much better the KM2's do in snow. I'm kicking around the idea of buying some 20-30% 37's-38's and grooving to run this winter.

A lesser man would have scrimped, scraped, and pawned his way to a new set of tires. Dirtco simply Chuck Norris' his tires into submission and tells them to last longer!

They have to be better in the snow, I'll let you guys know how much once we get a couple snow storms. Let me know if you go this route and I can give you some pointers to speed up the learning curve.
Thanks, they probably have around 8000 miles on them.

Awesome thanks - prob within the next 3 months. It'll just be some IROK's or TSL's. I'll search for some grooving patterns.

I had my sights on those as well.... They're pretty light too @ 84lbs (38.5x14.x15). I could find some cheap 15" wheels too. Who knows what I'll come across. I'd still like a radial, but for mashing through snow I could settle with a set of bias for the right price.

Yeah, your at the mercy of what's available and cheap. I'm sure you'll find something to work with, good luck and let us know what you find.

Nice trip report Jeremiah! That spot definitely looked tippy... wow! I'm always smiling when I see your selection of RI lights on your truck, it's awesome, you have something for every driving condition. I just picked up a 20" E-Series and am stoked to try it out with some different filters.
Interesting train of thought on the KM2's. I'm sure they are going to be quite a bit better. Do you think your going to get chunking of the lugs? I guess time will probably tell but you did a great job and the tread pattern definitely looks more winter friendly!

Yeah, it was close! I was watching it in the mirror the whole time, as I was leaned over holding myself up in my seat! Not the funnest moment, but I made it past without damage. One day something is going to happen, but I would like to postpone that day as long as possible (knock on wood)!
Wheeling with a trailer is a whole different ball game, if you ever get bored with wheeling drag a trailer around with you for a while!

You will love the E-Series, what light pattern did you get? I would get an amber filter for winter, and I will be interested to see what other filters do if you get them.
Yeah, I do think they will chunk more than normal but that's why I waited until summer was over. They might see a couple more wheeling trips on the rocks this season, but for the most part it will be snow wheeling which shouldn't tear up the tires too bad. At this point anything is better than what I had, and if I have to buy tires I will. I was just hoping to push buying tires back a little bit longer, and I've always wanted to try grooving a set! I think they look bad ass, but time will tell how they work.

I got a "Combo" pattern. I bought it used, but it was still new and in the box. I would have opted for a "spot" pattern if I was buying new from Rigid. I was planning on running a clear cover just for protection and blue for winter/heavy snowfall. Everyone up here runs blue on their lightforces and loves them in rain/snow. Do you like the amber in heavy snowfall/fog?
I agree, the grooving does look BA.
