Dirtco's 1999 4Runner Build

Count me in. Like I said in Moab I've been dying to get back to Chinamans. Last time we ran it (Hayden, Kyle, Nate, and Andrew) we started after running tomichi and old monarch pass so we were hauling ass to make it down before dark. Would love to spend some more time on it.

There's still that trip to Blanca in the back of my mind too......

You have more wheeling miles on that diff than anyone else I know. I don't think you guys realize how much wheeling this 4Runner has done and how hard of trails he has done over that time frame. I'd put $$ down that he wheels more than any other 4Runner on T4R.

That wouldn't surprise me at all.

Yeah, it's just a few miles south of Buena Vista and easy to find. I'm sure most of the group will be making a weekend out of it.

What's driving in the deep snow like? I've never driven in the snow - this just looks like a blast.

It's awesome! Every trip is a little different, that trip was epic! It was dumping when I left my house and it never let up, towards the end of the trip I was having issues seeing out the windshield because the snow was flying up over the hood and the defrost couldn't keep up!

Here is the video that I put together from my trip out to Moab. I had planned on having a lot more footage, but I still had enough to throw something together. This is pretty much my 24 hour Moab experience. I'm sure someone will make a more complete video of the entire trip. Besides for the breakage it was a great trip! It was short but fun, good company, and the sleeping platform works great!

i'd bet that you could say that he has more wheeling miles than 90% of those folks that call themselves frequent wheelers. It was sad that when I retired my trekker in the 9 years I drove it I had only put on about 6-7,000 miles on it.

Your way early to have video done. It usually takes chris about 1/2 a year to do it.

Not gunna lie... without Aaron's eye for the line on Hell's Gate when I was in Moab a couple years ago, I probably wouldn't have done it either. Spotted me like a pro though and I didn't even lift a tire in my LX. Moab reminiscing big time right now!
