Hey Dirtco,
How do you like the MT/R Kevlars? How are they holding up for tread life? How are they in the Snow/mud?
Reason I ask, is that you had them on your 1st gen and now your 3rd gen. You must like them! I have heard mixed reviews but I live in an area that has similar terrain as Colorado, and was thinking of up-sizing my tires in the spring.

Wow i just went through ur whole biild and it is truly great! ive been waiting for money to get 35s and this makes me dream of them even more... I really like the 3 LED lights u have and the placement. I may have to borrow a similar idea or copy it bc its SO ingenius.

I didn't know how well the 4Runner was going to do going up Wheeler Lake with that much snow, but it did great. I'm impressed!
They are great on the trail, especially on the rocks and in the deep snow. I bought them because of how well they worked on my last 4Runner. Tread life is really good for an aggressive mud terrain tire (judging from my 1st Gen.).
Now the bad, I’ve been having issues keeping them balanced. I did some research online and looks like it’s an issue for these tires, especially in this size. I didn’t notice it as much on the last 4Runner, but I also had hydro assist steering so that might have minimized the effects.
I also have one tire that is a little out of round. I have to keep it on the back of the 4Runner because I can feel it though the steering wheel, even when it’s perfectly balanced. It has a lot of vertical movement on the tire balancer. I want to call Goodyear about it, but they are going to want it road force balanced and match mounted to the wheel before they even think about a replacement. Neither of those options are feasible with non-dot beadlock wheels (unless you know the right person or have access to the equipment on your own time).
I’m really temped to get the KM2’s when I need tires again. They might not work as well in the deep snow, but I think they will be better on the street and they don’t have as much balancing issues (from what I have read). With the snow and ice we have around here I might have to get them sipped (if I go that route). We’ll see…
Thanks! 35’s just look so right on a 3rd gen and it’s really not that hard to fit them if you have the time, patience and ability. Feel free to copy the lights, that’s why I post this stuff; I have learned a lot from other peoples builds and I’m just returning the favor.

I’ve talked about my camping trailer a couple times but I’ve never gone into any detail. I figured I might as well post up a couple pictures and a link to the build so you guys know what I'm talking about.

It started as this; what was left of my first Toyota truck. It has the cool factor of being what’s left from my first Toyota 4x4, along with the sentimental factor, and it has been a very fun challenge. When I look at the trailer I see my old truck and all the great memories that I have surrounding it, I really can’t look at it without smiling. There are WAY too many stories, I feel that the truck (or what was left of it) deserved a second chance!
And after a year of work it has turned into this! It’s on 35’s like the 4Runner and while I still have a lot more work to do it’s getting close to hitting the trail!
And here is the trailer behind the 4Runner before I built the rear bumper. I parked it there to take some measurements.

Thanks guys! I've talked about the trailer a couple times so I figured there should be a couple pictures of it. It has been a ridiculous amount of work but it will be worth it when it’s all done. Thanks again for all the compliments!

Dude ive been dreaming of a trailer like that, nice job on the build and trailer def looks good with 35s and attached to the BEASTLY 4runner!

The wheels are not beadlocks, just rim stiffeners. I had the same wheels on the Turbo 4Runner and I got them for the trailer so I could rotate between the two.
LOL! Believe it or not most of this trailer was built with stuff I had laying around, if you read through the build thread you will see that I have reused whatever I can find. The suspension was left over from that first Toyota, I just had to buy the shackles and lower shock mounts. The gas tank is from that truck (holds 15 gallons), the tail lights are from the old green 4Runner, the side panels are some galvanized shelving I found, all the diamond plate is old toolboxes that were at recycle and I cut them up, the list goes on.
You would love Colorado, where are you looking to move?

Thanks man! The whole idea around the trailer is to have all my camping stuff in one place and ready to go, that way I don't have to pack and unpack the 4Runner or wheel the 4Runner with all my camping stuff in the back. All I have to do is grab the trailer, get gas, food, beer and I'm ready to go. With the trailer's small size, light weight and big tires I should be able to take it just about anywhere I would want to camp.
