I don't know if it's too late but with your link issues, would a different oil pan help? I know guys who do an SAS and 3.4 swap in older rigs go for T100 oil pans (I think with the rear sump) but I'm not sure how much they're different.
He pretty clearly already has the T100 sump on there. (the 4Runner/Tacoma 5vz is front sump):

Somehow I missed this, totally worth all the time to read all 10 pages! Adventure Thread is definitely fitting. :)

Thanks for the tip! Yes, I already installed the 2wd T100 oil pan. There is a big difference between the two and it would be damn near impossible to use the stock IFS pan.
 
I’ve been waiting to post progress pictures until I got a little further along, setting up a link suspension is very time consuming and you move stuff around quite a bit until it fits. I’m still going to need to tweak some stuff around, but for the most part the major components are in place.

I finally got my track bar brackets after the first package got lost in the mail. After getting everything mocked up I trimmed them down and tacked them in place.

With the track bar in place I could cycle the suspension and mock up the steering box. Due to fitment requirements, and to get the roll center as high as possible, I installed a flat pitman arm on the steering box. I also had to move the steering box as far forward as possible.

New STT Pros??

Just one, but hopefully I'll be able to buy a set before the truck is done. When the tire carrier spindle broke up on Pearl Pass I was forced to leave my spare tire up on the mountain. I tried to get it up on the roof by myself but I almost broke out the side window trying to get it up and over the jack on the roof rack, the tire had a patched sidewall so it really wasn't worth damaging the 4Runner to save it.

I bought the 37x13.50 STT Pro as my spare, and mounted it on a 17x9 black steel wheel with the same backspace as my beadlocks. It's been nice to have for mocking stuff up and will be mandatory for trimming the front sheet metal.

I need to order more parts for the front suspension, so I switched gears and started working on the front winch mount. I ordered a pre-fab winch plate to save some time but it showed up with slotted holes that were too loose for my liking. I put some extremely hard pulls on my truck while snow wheeling and I don’t need the winch shifting around on me. So I welded in some steel spacers on the back side of the plate to strengthen the plate up and keep the winch from moving. Then it was time to build the vertical uprights for the plate, I chose 3/8” plate for added strength and durability.

Then it was time to install the plate, I tucked it as far back as possible and welded it in place.

The center support is 1/4” thick and has 3/8” gussets top and bottom. It's also my main recovery point on the front of the truck.

Thank you! I need to get some tubing for the rest of the bumper, but I'll probably wait to build the rest until I clearance the front sheet metal. And that cooler is for the power steering system.

The other issue I had in the past was blown up stock knuckle bearings and crappy steering arms, so I bought Marlin's 25mm steering kit on Black Friday!

Good chooooice! IMO this is a much better option than the TG bushing style.
