Is this true?
Is there anybody in SE PA that would disable them for me.

That's OK... I had a dealer tell me once that I couldn't access the maintenance history on my truck because of HIPAA. When I explained that HIPAA means "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act", he didn't care. For some reason, employees at car dealers don't ever have the balls to say "I won't do that" or even "we have a policy against that"; instead, they come up with some BS lie to make it sound like they can't do it.phillyd2 said:Went to my dealer yesterday and asked to have the Daytime Running Lights turned off on my 06 4Runner Limited and was told that is was against PA law to do so.
Because some dealers are afraid of a legal liability issue if they do it for you. Even though DRL's are not required by law, the dealer is still disabling a safety feature that was put in by Toyota at the factory. Should you get in an accident someday and the cause of the accident is found to be that your truck was hard for the other driver to see and DRL's might have prevented the accident, then the dealer could be partially at fault.phillyd2 said:Why is this such a issue?

But, DRL is not on the list.
