Do I need a lift for the 265/70/17 REVO's

265X70-17:

the 265 is the width in millimeters

the 70 is the sidewall height as a percentage of the width

17 is the rim diameter in inches

so the tire diameter (in inches) is:

(265 X .70 X 2)/25.4 + 17 = 31.6

Thanks, I see. I'd thought R17 was rim *radius* as opposed to diameter.

My 2005 SR5 V6 4wd is the same color "Dorado Gold Pearl". I'd wanted Salsa Red or Stratosphere Mica Blue but neither comes w/ 3rd row seats. Turned out I ripped those 3rd row seats off and never needed them, yet.
Hope u like the gold color, as I do too.

I've a 05 'Runner V6 SR5 with stock 265/65/R17 Bridgestone Dueler (not Revo). Are you guys saying I can replace the stock tires with 265/*70*/R17 without affecting the speedometer, odometer reading? I mean the diameter is a tad larger therefore the circumference (is larger). How can this not affect the speedo/odo readings? Suppose it fits w/o a lift as many suggested. Thanks.

I have searched the site and found that some people put the revo's on without a lift. But some people say you need a lift to put these tires on. So Do I need a lift to put the Revo
265/70/17 on my 4runner. What is the final word. Thanks in advance.

No, no lift required for those tires. Have been running them as such for months now.
