While the runner was fine on i70 at 90 mph, I was scared #$%@ of the body roll on i15 from Grand Junction to north of Vegas.

getting a 4runner after driving mostly modified VW GTIs for the last 32 years the first big corner on stock suspension scared me too! lol ... since then I've been doing cornering speed tests and realized most of the fear was just internal to me... the 4runner can really get after it in corners with no problem, but it does feel pretty crazy. lol

I keep hearing folks talking about KDSS "controlling the ride" when in fact it is simply a stiffer (anti)swaybar with a hydraulic disconnect. So, you do get better lean control (significant), and a bit more bump harshness when you hit a single wheel (caused by the stiffer swaybar), but "controlling the ride" is a stretch.

You're entitled to your opinion.

When I worked as a Master Tech at Toyota, and other shops, I often diagnosed NVH issues.

IMO, A KDSS equipped 5th gen does control the ride better in comparison to a non-KDSS equipped 5th gen. Everybody has different ideas of what constitutes the best ride. So we have a variety of vehicles to choose from.

I know some people who don't like the way the 4Runner rides in any form. So they don't own one. It works out for everybody.
