Update after having the following installed since July 3rd:
Front Strut GS59-574
Front Coil C59-238
Rear Shock GS59-705
Rear Coil C59-325
I'm going back and forth on whether to swap my rear spring for C59-505. I feel like I am running out of down travel too quickly (it says shocks are good for 0-2", I'm a little higher than that). Someone mentioned getting rid of the rear sway bar because it basically useless but I'm not so sure about that idea. I also think I can afford to lessen the rake a little because I'm not as heavily loaded as many times as I anticipated, and I can always put in a small spacer if need be. Front is fine, the CVs and UCAs haven't exploded from the extended travel so that's good. I did need more lift for the trail pictured (Chinaman Gulch), but the solution to that is don't do something so hard. Front sway bar bushings need to be replaced, when its cold there is a lot of clunking over small stuff. Not sure if that is because if the lift or mileage/age (120k).

Ok.....just realized that I missed the whole "Bilstein TRD Pro suspension kit on sale PTR13-35140" thread. I was already looking at 6112/5160s and the price on these clearance shocks are too good. So...I'm getting those.
I realize that if I get the 1" dobinsons TRD Pro coils, that ....it would be the exact same as what is coming in (since they are FJ shocks at 14" coil height).
Just looking for an update....did dobinsons release 2" TRD Pro coils yet?

Hmm...that means I could still do a 1.5" coil for the rear, which I was planning on doing anyway, but that means my rake would be 1.5" until I get 2" coils for the front, which would put the rake at .5"...I guess that's not that bad for a few months. And....once I get the 2" coils...would I need to get another alignment done later?

505 rear coils would be 1/2" less height than you have now. Probably not worth the effort, and that won't change the wheel travel. Disconnect your sway bar and check the flex that way. OR, Adding new extended sway bar links can also help increase your wheel travel some, as it will have a bit more freedom before the sway bar binds up.

I’m considering the C59-300 front springs and C59-599 rear springs with matching shocks. For those with a full Dobinsons setup does the truck handle better? My 4R only has 7500 miles on it but seems to really wallow and sway through corners.
For reference my previous Tacoma had Wheelers T1 springs, stiff AAL, and 5100s and handled great. Firm, controlled ride.

This is a deep thread, 51 pages. So I'm just going to ask it.
Which specific model 5100 bilsteins are recommended for the 3inch lift? Putting together a parts list right now for front and rear and going likely with your 3 inch coil options because I have KDSS and need the proper adjustments.
Is there anything else I need to consider buying for my KDSS besides what was listed on the original post? Don't want things banging around the control arms etc.

Alright, trying to accomplish stock rake, but about 2-3” in lift. I currently have these in my amazon cart. Yay or nay?

The best thing about Dobinsons after the performance and price is the customer service. Just call them and discuss your wants/needs and they'll put a tailor-made package together for you. There's no reason at all to just grab parts from Amazon - they're super friendly and helpful and it's the same price.
I second this. Mike has been fantastic to work with and has been one of the most responsive vendors I’ve ever worked with of any company.

Hey Zach, it really depends on extra weight you have on the truck. 3rd row seat or anything else?

C59-314 on the front for a stronger spring rate, or C59-448 for a comfort (stock-ish) spring rate. Those will both be 3" lift with no front weight, and the 5100's set to the lowest setting.
And 3" on the front, you'll need UCA's, and depending on the length of the 5100's, a diff drop kit would be suggested to help CV angles a bit. Nothing else needed up front.
Rear, I only suggest 2" usually with KDSS, as the fixed mount on the sway bar "holds down" that side, causing extra lean in the truck. C59-725 is what I'd suggest back there. Will be closer to 2.25" with no rear weight.
As far as Bilstein part numbers, just check their site.

Ty, all stock. But after more research and soul searching I think I’m going to go with the 505/302 setup on springs, I see a possible C4 Lopro in my future. No inventory till 5/18. Is that right?

Not necessary. I suggest it with our 3" lift and long travel struts, since the overall extended length can put strain on the CV's. With the GS59-700's, that doesn't happen.
