Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - from Exit Offroad

I did not do UCA. Went with 2.5 inch instead of 3 inch to avoid having to do the UCA. Alignment came out ok, camber is a bit off but from what i was told camber doesn't affect tire wear so I'm ok with it.

Are you sure it's not caster that is a bit off? If your camber is off, it absolutely will impact tire wear.

Update

Thought I would take a moment and post this up...I haven't updated anything here in a while. I finally got around to installing my Dobinsons Suspension on my 2016 TEP w/KDSS over Memorial Day weekend. I have since installed a new roof rack and C4 Fab Lo-Pro Bumper (no winch currently).
For those that are interested, I went with C59-302/GS59-700 Front. C59-725/GS59-701 Rear. Still running 265/70/17 Duratracs. Install went well, ride has been comfortable. Happy to answer an questions you may have. Have a happy and safe 4th!

Mike, I sent you a DM on IG but figured this would be the better place to ask. What are you seeing as far as these kits "settling" wise? I seem to be down at least .5" over the last ~10k miles. I'm planning on ditching my 295's and move up to 305's or even 315's and need my height back. Running 302's up front with your LT front struts. I have around 200#'s with my bumper and winch combo. Thoughts??

Stretching its legs this past Sunday at Windrock.

What was the suspension before? And what are your specs now with height and such?

We can do a 2/1" setup with twin tube shocks for $790 plus shipping, and you don't have to touch any other parts. For the weight you mentioned, it would be C59-302, GS59-700, C59-599 and GS59-701.

Or if you want to run our MRR setup (Monotube Remote Reservoir) shocks, those are available by special order, starting at $1650 plus shipping for 4 coils and 4 MRR shocks, plus air freight and shipping.

If you do that first setup you mentioned, you can do it without UCA's, but of course it would help with the alignment if you're at 2.5" of front lift.

So I ended up getting a TRD FJ lift. I know you guys don’t have springs ready for the pros, yet. But I still want to end up at a 2/1. Would you still recommend the C59-599’s for the rear of my truck? Also, can I order the red coils through Amazon?

Mike, any issues with suspension travel up front with this setup? I'd want to run this setup but the front page notes the GS59-700 should be limited to 2" front lift. I'd be running stock weight up front for at least some time.

Apologies if I'm missing something; you and your dealers obviously know a lot more than I do.

My understanding is that any color option other than teal has to be ordered thru Dobinsons directly.

Stock suspension before, just under 30,000 miles on the truck. Would have to re-visit my notes, but I think that I gained about 2.75" up front, and 2.25" in the rear

So I put on 300 miles with 2 off road trips and it seems that the back isn't settling. The suspension rides amazing on and off road. Looks like the front settled more and the back went up (I kept the old suspension the back, ~120lbs after install, that measurement was 39 inches from ground to fender)

I'm not super happy with the set up as my rake increased to 3 inches. For reference, I'd now go with the 505s in the back to level it out. My front def went up to 2.75 - 3 inches, but the back went up farther with 325s. It doesn't look terrible, but could be better.

The back springs aren't notched, they're about 1 inch away from the stopper, I'm getting that fixed and remeasure, but I don't see losing more then 1 inch from the back. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that back springs have some more room to settle.

The set up
Front:
C59-302 / GS59-700 (2.5 inch) (with .25 toytec spacer on top of the coilovers, should add .5 inch lift)
Back:
C59-325 / GS59-705 (2.25 inch) (with 10mm OME spacer passenger side to offset KDSS)

Measurements from the ground to fender:
Front: 37"
Back: 40"

For reference I installed the FJ TRD Pro kit + daystar 1.25" perch spacer + OME 10mm spacer. Wanted to eliminate sag on heavy loads so I replaced my Wheeler T13 with the C59-327 rear springs and here's what the stance and measurements look like:

That rear end seems really high. What made you jump to stiffer/taller springs instead of just adding airbags to the rear to prevent sag when loaded down?

Thought about adding airbags; my ideal airbag set up would be to activate it in the driver's seat but that would require much more planning and work.

The T13 sagged with 6 peeps+cooler+cargo so I wanted to see if I can get away with some rake on no load and no sag on full load.

Mike recommended those to me. I honestly didn't read up on it much more since he's helped out so many people on here. But I wish I did a little more research.

I used to have a RTT mounted but that was off when I installed and measured.

My rear is 38.5 with C59-325. I wish it was an inch higher.

I got the 327's. Probably regularly carry a couple hundred lbs day to day (storage panels, tools, 3/4 ply platform, recovery gear, emergency supplies, storage boxes, etc) and a few hundred when camping. I am getting mine installed beginning of August, we'll see how it sits.

Also going to make some 3/4" ply drawers soon, so that will add some more weight too.

Ahh how many miles have you had with those? Any sag with full load? That height is more in line with what I wish the T13 provided.

Probably 500 miles or so, so not too many. That measurement is from today. I did not measure it when they were first installed.
It drops at least 1.5" with the Tec5 trailer and not a whole lot of gear. When I spec'd it, I wanted to keep the rake just for that reason, but it ended up being leveled out while empty.

Looking forward to seeing your rear height measurements. Maybe those dobinson rear shocks you have will make a difference in height.

When I measured mine, it was with 3rd row, gobi rack + ladder, 1/2 tank gas, recovery gear (straps, air compressor, basic tools), and 3/4ply sleeping platform at 275/70/17 KO2 @36psi.

When did you add that bumper and winch to the front? You'll need to go up to the C59-314 to support that extra weight, or if you think you'll add more front weight still, go up to a 730LB rate coil, the C59-352 most likely.
