Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - from Exit Offroad

Considering the

Lately, 2" front and 1" rear is very common (300 and 599 coils).

option since I do not want to mess around with UCA. I have 2018 SR5 with 3rd row and plan to run 275 KO2.

Instead of running the 599 coil I am thinking of running the 505 because of the weight of the 3rd row plus when I camp I usually haul two bikes via 1up bike rack.

C59-505 - Stock rear end load, 1.5" lift. 405/405mm, 17mm wire, 220LB

1. Does that make sense to run the 505 instead of 599? Any other 3rd row owner doing the same? Factory rake does not bug me.

2. Following says 300 is 1.75 " in the front but other posts in this thread says 2" for 5th gen

C59-300 - Stock front end load, 1.75" lift. 385/385mm, 17mm wire, 586LB

Is the 505 list correct at 1.5" lift or is it even higher on 5th gen too?

Finally got to try out the Dobinsons UCAs off road. Was already able to tell the difference on the highway but WOW what a big difference off road. Off road shop was able to get 3.4 caster and the bump steer is pretty much gone now. Loving it. favorite upgrade so far!

Good luck with your installation... I LOVE my Dobinsons lift! I received mine on Thursday of last week at 2:30 PM. I was so impatient, that I had everything installed by 10:30 PM the same day haha!

The KO2 was actually the other tire i was considering. I didnt go with those because of a couple reasons. They are a couple pounds heavier, more unsprung weight, I saw a lot of people getting balancing issues, the KO2's are very noisy, and they dont have a mileage warranty.

General ATX are super quiet, weigh less than KO2's, have a 45 day refund period, are cheaper, have a mileage warranty, and they are three peak for snow.

I wanted a little more meat than the 265, but i didnt want to cut anything for the 285's so i went down the middle lol and a 275 still fits underneath where a 285 will not fit under the car.

There isn’t much noise level from the cabin, but my wife and kids said they can hear me coming down the street! LOL. For long trips, I air them up to 50 PSI and I get 20 MPG on the highway. When I air down to 42 PSI for daily driving, I still get around 17-18 MPG. I’ve had mine about 18 months with 23,000 miles left, and I still have 60% tread left. I’m super happy with the KO2’s.

Yaaa a lot of people love them and a lot of people think they are a great tire!! They're lot of great choices out there and decisions to be made. I ended up choosing the ATX and am perfectly happy. Glad you are liking your KO2's

Did you have your suspension done before you replaced your UCA? I am installing the Dobinsons UCA next week and I had heard that I will notice the improved ride after the UCA are replaced.

I installed the UCAs about a month after i installed the lift kit. Went on a few road trips and trails before the uca install. I noticed a slight change on the first drive out but only realized how much nicer the drive was after going on some of the same trails I did pre uca

Does anyone know the difference between these Front Springs? They both seem to give around 2" of lift with 150 lbs?

C59-302 - 2.5" lift with stock front end, 2" w/150 lbs added
C59-314 - 80-150 lbs medium load front weight 2" lift
