Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - from Exit Offroad

Hi, I currently have Bilstein 5100s all around on stock springs. Corn Fed spacer in rear and front shock on highest position (2.75?). I am running 285/70r17 and had gotten rid of the rubbing with fender liner tuck. I swapped my grill guard for a Warn Hidden winch and x20 synthetic. I am getting rubbing when turning in reverse. I am looking to upgrade springs to get additional height. I am thinking about UCA as well to improve drivability.I often pull a small trailer or hitch carrier and noticed sag. I would like to be able to perform decently off-road as well.. I appreciate any tips or suggestions. Thank you.

Dobinson rear coils installed with my Billy's. Loving them so far!
*Note: I am regretting my decision to go with black coils, shoulda gone teal!

Took me a while to get back. The 14” coils are going on stock pro bilsteins... should be about 2.5-3” over stock. Aside from the slightly higher spring rate, they would be comparable to your 14” pro coils. What would you suggest to pair so there is still a slight rake without any added constant weight?

Probably 1.5" rear then, the C59-505. Normally I'd pair those with 2.5" front, and the 2" rears when it's 3" up front.

I'd suggest C59-314 up front, set the clip to the bottom height. And C59-325 in the rear. That should set you up with 2.5" up front with the weight and 2" in there rear with a stronger spring rate for better load handling.

Forgot to added that I will be adding a second battery. Does that change the model for front springs? Do I leave 1 inch rear spacer in place?

No, but if you wanted closer to the 3" front mark and are running aftermarket UCA's, you can run them 1 clip up from the bottom.

Thanks Mike. Is there any benefits to UCA also?

At 2" front lift, they really aren't needed, but you could dial in more caster into the alignment by adding them. Plus with the new ball joint position, it would be riding at a neutral angle, just like stock, which allows the arm to move up and down freely.

Planning on putting in an order. Any reason to wait a few days for potential August deals?

And how's the stock/potential wait time look for:

C59-302
IMS59-50574
C59-325
IMS59-50705
Dobinsons (preferably) or SPC uca

Teal coils

Thanks!

Sounds good. We won't be doing any sales in August.

Stock looks good right now, but those front coils always sell really fast. Dobinsons UCA's will be good to go next week, rear IMS shocks are also due in about a week from now.

Are there any upsides/downsides with the IMS?
No downsides, except that they cost more.

They're much bigger pistons, more oil capacity, and with the floating piston, more comfortable in all situations. They also perform better at speeds than the twin tubes can due to those features. Oh, and a big plus is the adjustable coil seat height, allowing you to adjust the height down the track if you add more weight up front and lose any height.

So 2020 ORP W/KDSS the below is good to go?

C59-300 - Stock front end, 1.75-2.0" lift
IMS59-50700 - IMS non-resi monotube, adjustable height
C59-599 - 1" with stock weight
IMS59-50705 - IMS non-resi monotube - comfort valved for light rigs
Dobinsons Tubular Ball Joint
Struts Pre-Assembled - Includes new mounts and labor
Select Struts/Shocks Color: Black
Select Coil Spring Color: Black

Finally had my lift put on. Came out great! Thanks again Mike for all the help with the ordering process and directing me to these dirt king UCA's!

Front: GS59-574's w/C59-302
Diff Drop
Dirt King ball joint UCA's
Rear: GS59-705'S w/ C59-325

Stock weight for now... will be ordering slimline bumper soon. Anyone have comments for my current CV angles? :behindsofa: Lift was just put on so hoping it settles.

That's great man, glad you got it all installed!!

Definitely take it for a solid drive, find some speed bumps, railroad tracks, or something where you can cycle the suspension a lot to get it to break in and settle.

I've driven ~250miles post lift and my fronts measure around 24.5" hub to fender... Is that taller than what I ordered?

I found that my coils didn't settle till I took it on a bumpy offroad trip where I got to cycle the suspension a bit. Even a school parking lot with alot of speed bumps will help!

Question for you crikeymike I just ordered the IMS59-50700 with the C59-314 front and the IMS59-50701 with the C59-325 my question is should I have went with the C59-327 rear I have a 3/4 roof rack and rock sliders and I have a RTT but I do pull it off for periods of time. I have the rear loaded when going on camping trips.
