I still have yet to hit my 15 post count to be order to post my own thread and build thread but I wanted to shoot my shot here.


I am looking to get about 3 inch total rise out of a suspension lift. What components from your catalog of products would I need to accomplish this with a 110lb Coastal Offroad metal front bumper and an otherwise completely stock 2004 V8 SR5 with no XREAS.

It will be mainly used as a commuter but the entire reason why I bought this 4runner was the ability to wheel.....in style.

I look forward to hearing back from you and possibly snagging a set before the price rise due to the terrible tantrums from a certain someone to increase the tariffs.

I have a 2005 GX 470 with KDSS and want to do 3" front and rear to get a factory rake. I'll have no additional weight other than the occasional camping/fishing/hunting. I would like it as comfortable as possible due to having 2 kids. What's your recommendation? I know I'll need to do a coil conversion in the rear and was also told that KDSS equipped vehicles may need different springs for the left side?

Oh, I'm already planning to get SPC UCA's as well.

Sure, it will add 1/2" of lift

Just installed a Dobinsons lift kit on my 2005 SR5 V6 4WD and am thoroughly impressed! I have had 5 Toyota trucks, most of them lifted, and this suspension has the best feel. Slightly firmer than stock but it still soaks up bumps on the road very comfortably. I achieved the exact stance and amount of lift that I was hoping for.

Front: C59-300/GS59-221 (with 5mm driver spacer installed)
Rear: C59-505/GS59-705
Wheels: Fifteen52 Turbomac HD 17x8.5, Bronze
Tires: Kuhmo Road Venture AT51 265/65/17

The lift difference between the C59-505 and C59-325 is around 1/2 in ? I would like to raise front than lower rear if possible

My current lift fender to ground in front is 37 in and rear is 40.5 in does this seem right ?? springs are seated correctly

Hi Mike, I'm looking into replacing the xreas on my 2004 V8 4WD 4Runner with coils/shocks and had a question regarding the different coils and shocks Dobinsons offers. I want to get a minimal lift and keep a slight rake, would these coils work?

C59-300 - V6 - Stock front end load, 2" lift. 385/385mm, 17mm wire, 586LB
C59-599 - Stock rear end, .75" to 1.0" lift (keeps rear end low, allowing to level the vehicle rake with 2" front lift). 390/390mm, 17mm wire, 220LB

I don't keep much stuff in the cargo area, but usually on the weekends I have my wife and two kids in the back. Would you recommend the GS59-705 with softer valving or should I just stick with the GS59-637 rear shocks? Also, I thought the driver's side coils would be a little longer to compensate for the weight. Do people usually end up getting the spacers to correct the lean?

Since you have a V8, you'd want the C59-302 coils for 2" lift on that.

Why do you put your wife in the back? Surely she complains a lot then!!!

If you like a soft ride, then the softer shocks would be ideal. If you prefer more firmness then the GS59-637 would be for you. Most go with the softer option.

Yeah, a front 1/4" top mount spacer added to the driver's side for older 4th Gens is a good idea to help correct the lean that develops overtime in these.

Yes, you can use them. Lift height would be about 1.5" with C59-300 on a V8.

Just the front to start with. You have to determine what type of lean exists after that, then correct it if necessary.
